I'm waiting until a Gotham build is released to try DSPlayer, but that would be a deal breaker as I have profiles for different frame rates and resolutions. Losing that wouldn't work for me.(2014-01-06, 06:44)deh2k7 Wrote:(2014-01-04, 19:36)deh2k7 Wrote: I've been away for quite some time and want to take advantage of some of the latest improvements. I understand that mediaconfig.xml is used to select the videocodec. If mpcvideocodec is what codec is being used? mpcvideocodec is really a codec? For instance, can we change EVR to madvr or other? Do we change that on MPC-HC GUI? My doubt is solely on mpcvideocodec. My friend, if you have that codec installed from an old distro of MPC-HC and you ask DSPlayer to use it, then it will. If you want to play around with this codec that was being used before the folks at MPC-HC moved to LAV, you can download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mpc-hc/files/Standalone%20Filters%20-%20Win32/Filters_v1.6.8_x86/MPC-HC_standalone_filters.1.6.8.x86.zip/download EVR and madVR are renderers, not codecs. DSPlayer cannot use madVR: http://www.google.com/search?q=xbmc+madvr+dsplayer You can change renderer settings in the DSPlayer GUI within XBMC or in the renderersettings.xml file: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=DSPlayer#Renderer_settings Changes you makes in the mpc-hc gui are not seen by DSPlayer. My xml is using avsplitter, but to tell you the truth, I go back and forth between that and lavsplitter. I use MPC-HC also and I agree - I wish there were overlays to access options on a big screen. I'm a little near sighted and reading standard size text in windows at 1920 x 1080 from my couch results in me squinting to the point that I'm going to get wrinkles... AVSplitter is supposed to provide dialogs for Blu-ray title and MKV edition choices. But I never saw or used those dialogs. When I get a Bluray, I immediately rip it to an mp4. And I occasionally have issues with subtitles with that splitter compared to LAV. Truthfully, no I don't see a substantial difference. I don't use ReClock. I'm in the US and don't have any PAL content and for whatever reason, none of my NTSC content is ever jerky or out of sync. And I go back and forth about SVP. For some content I really like it. But as soon as I see artifacting or tearing, I turn it off. I've tweaked the settings both on my HTPC and my moderately beefy work machine and for some scenes, no matter what I do there is artifacting. RE: DSPlayer (DirectShow Player for XBMC) Frodo build available - gregh77 - 2014-02-01 ok, i edited the config files, but when i try to play a movie, it looks like its going to start playing then it goes back to the movie list. something isnt activating, maybe one of the codecs? RE: DSPlayer (DirectShow Player for XBMC) Frodo build available - KenV99 - 2014-02-01 Are you using graphstudionext to see what's happening? Try manually building what you expect to happen there to see if all of the components are working. RE: DSPlayer (DirectShow Player for XBMC) Frodo build available - gregh77 - 2014-02-01 i tried but im not sure if im doing it right. thanks for the help. in the media config file i have this.. <rule filetypes="avi|divx|ogm|flv|mp4|mov|m4v|m2v|ts|mpeg|mpg|m2ts|mkv"> <source filter="haali" /> <splitter filter="haali" /> <video filter="lavvideodec" /> <audio filter="lavaudiodec" /> <extra> <extra filter="ffdrawvid" /> </extra> </rule> the file plays in DSPlayer, it just isnt activating SVP, says its still waiting RE: DSPlayer (DirectShow Player for XBMC) Frodo build available - steelman1991 - 2014-02-01 If your using KenV99's mediasconfig and filtersconfig as a template, then your 'extra' filter is incorrect - it should be <extra filter="ffdrawdec" /> RE: DSPlayer (DirectShow Player for XBMC) Frodo build available - KenV99 - 2014-02-01 (2014-02-01, 09:39)gregh77 Wrote: i tried but im not sure if im doing it right. thanks for the help. in the media config file i have this.. Can you post that or a link to that in pastebin? |
