RE: iPhone 5 screen resolution support - keriam - 2013-03-02

Thanks for the iphone 5 nighty version. Actually XBMC is the best video player for mkv1080p for my iphone 5, i've tested lots of apps and this is the only player can play HD movie : Aceplayer, VLC, Gplayer,...not really smooth but XBMC can do it : MKV,1080p, 720p, more 10Go siez file,...

I want to give a request to developp a better app specialy for the iphone 5 : the last nighty version support iphone 5 resolution but icons are too small for the device, it's very difficult to press the correct button or option in the app (to change language of movie or subtitles,...) : i suppose this is a Ipad version.

I use this app to watch movie on my iphone when i'm going to work : no need to encode it, just copy with IFunbox and it's works.

Please give us an iphone 5 version...Big Grin

Last question : is there any chance to see your app in the official Apple store ? Rolleyes

1. It only needs a small screen skin. Hopefully someone in the community will step up to the plate on that
2. No chance at all. Please search "apple app store" in the forums for reasons why.

Thanks, that helped. I'm more than happy to wait for the update.

Can anybody with an iphone 5 recommend a nightly build that doesn't crash immediately. I've tried installing the latest 2 nightlys and both of the show the xbmc logo, flip it (regardless or orientation) and then crash. Reverting to the stable release makes the crash go away, but doesn't give me that full screen goodness.
Thanks

Like I said, by using FullForce you will have a fullscreen experience. You wil only then have to wait for the XBMC update.

Pick a nightly before 1. March and you should be good. Crash wise that is Smile

I did get the widescreen resolution for iPhone 5 by installing a nightly couple of weeks back. However, today when I updated to iOS 6.1.2, rejailbroken my device, and reinstalled XBMC from the latest nighly, I am stuck with 960x640 resolution. I have tried deleting the userdata folder, but no luck. Any idea on how to get back widescreen resolution?

can't believe that tbh. I guess you have not installed the xbmc version you think. debug log (wiki)
