Store fanart and description locally and not in DB ? - XBMC4me - 2013-04-08

Hello,

is there any possibility to store fanart, descriptions together with the video-files and not in the xbmc-database?

I'm often copying files from one hdd to another so the media library must be renewed.

Kind regards

no there isnĀ“t.
u can however export ur library to the individual movie folders, and if u move ur files and clean ur library, the movie information will be copied from the individual movie folders instead of scraping from the inet.
However, there is no option to directly store ur library/database in the movie folders and read the info from there, and u will have to export the library any time u add a new movie Confused

The best way to deal with moving files is to export the library, edit the paths in the xml file, then import the edited library.

If you use a tool like Media Center Master along with setting up individual folders for movies, you can have all of your movie data placed within the movie folder, in which case you only really lose the 'watched' flag if you move your files to another location.
