I get this crash on xbian+yamaha soundbar+Panasonic tv when using passthrough in xbmc.

I grabbed a copy of Xbian to try and reproduce it (I normally use OpenELEC) but I still couldn't get it to crash.

I get this problem on my pi with xbian connected to Onkyo NR-808 -> Panasonic VT50.

just tested the attached file on XBian XBMC 12.2-PRE Git:20130418-0260bd1 (Compiled:Apr 19 2013)
video crashed into XBMC

updated to latest nightly XBMC 12.2-PRE Git:20130430-4dfa1aa (Compiled:May 1 2013). The video do not crash but when audio changed there is a artefacts effect for few seconds

Actually with more or less every episode of GOT, and a bunch of other (tv series) files.. Have not tested the specific file, but will try that one later.

Yes, it does indeed crash/stop playback as expected with the test file...

Is this build available on https://github.com/xbianonpi/xbmc-nightly? I've tried "XBMC 12.2 Git:20130502-32b1a53 (Compiled: May 4 2013)" from there, but that one still crashes here.

Yes i tried that one as well. Dosent work. But i dont know how to get that specific build mentioned...

It also happens in shows where the cut is made ingracefully,even if the audiotype dosen't change... like the daily show episode from 5/5/2013 720p

I cannot find a xbmc build with the crash patch included. Can you supply a link to the patch and maybe a link to the xbmc build with the fix included?

Running XBIAN, so the basic nightlies probably won't work.
I'll try to find out how to install the nightlies on my pi and get back to you.

Can you produce a sample file that include the cut and shows the problem.
