XBMC crashing constantly without reason - nerdsteve - 2013-04-30 Hi everbody since yesterday XBMC is crashing constantly while browsing the menus. If I'm fast enough to select a movie I can watch it. Has anybody maybe an idea what it could be? Here is my last log file, but I can't really make anything out of it. (MOD EDIT: Remove log contents pasted directly into post) RE: XBMC crashing constantly without reason - artrafael - 2013-04-30 Welcome to the XBMC forums. Please do not paste log contents directly in post as it creates too much clutter. Instead, please upload the entire log contents to www.xbmclogs.com and post just the assigned URL for the uploaded log here. Be sure you have debug log (wiki)ging enable in XBMC so that the log will capture more diagnostic information that may help identify and resolve your problem. RE: XBMC crashing constantly without reason - nerdsteve - 2013-04-30 Sorry for that. Won't happen again. Here is a new log with debug logging on. http://www.xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=14985 RE: XBMC crashing constantly without reason - Memphiz - 2013-04-30 Crashlog needed... RE: XBMC crashing constantly without reason - rbronco21 - 2013-05-04 I didn't get a crash log but watched my mem usage using ssh as I scrolled through a lot of thumbnails. I saw it drop and then xbmc crashed as it ran out of memory. I added these lines to advancedsettings.xml and rescanned my thumbnails. <imageres>360</imageres> <fanartres>360</fanartres> I also noticed that memory drops as I scroll through the new thumbnails for the first time and is released when I exit Movies. When I go back into Movies, it seems fine until I scroll to thumbnails I haven't scrolled through yet. After I scrolled through the entire library once, everything seemed fine. I guess 1080 is the default value for these, but for aTVs, I'd guess 720 would be the max you'd need since the aTV is 720p. I went lower to see if I got better response and even went to 240 on my kids' profile. |
