XBMC Netflix Help! - robone - 2013-06-27

Hello, I'm new to XBMC so please bare with me. Is there anyway to get Netflix running on XBMC Frodo? I have searched with not much luck. I'm looking to make a stand alone media server to leave hooked to my TV since I ditched cable and only have Netflix now. If I can not use Frodo witch version should I use?

Thanks for any help!

there is an xbmcflix addon to use for netflix access from within xbmc but it only works if you have windows as your operating system due to the silverlight requirements. Currently there is no way to use netflix with xbmc on any other operating system besides windows.

The official website for the addon doesn't show frodo support but I dont think it has been updated and would work on frodo.

I know it works in Eden for sure.

Where can I find the addon?

https://github.com/spudsdude/XBMC-Flicks/archive/master.zip

looks like this is not in the official XBMC repo on frodo, but I just installed on Frodo but I don't have a netflix account to test with.

Ok, now that I have the zip file how do I install it into XBMC? I tried a couple times with no luck.

go to Sysem --> Settings --> Addons --> install from ZIP and point to that zip file.

It should install the addon.

Read this:

it should explain what you need to do to get your username/password and some basic user functionality.
