Yep...just do yourself a favor and throw him on the ignore list. Trust me, it makes following this thread so much better.

You ignorant geeks!! You only care about getting it to work in your own systems!! That's the reason this addon is so messed up!! Is it homebrew?? You guys act like is a club for advanced users only!! Then just say it!! only for advanced systems and users!! So many people and can't make this work!! And then disrespecting other members jus because they don't have the same knowledge as you?? What's going to happens is that this addon is going to get a lot of negative publicity from newbies on other forums ...So unprofessional and ignorant! Keep it going and a year from now this add-on will still go nowhere but a hobby for enthusiast! This is the only addon in xbmc that does not work properly , and people like you in denial,, totally childish and unprofecional!please!!! Don't accept critics??ja!!

Going to post a list of the best xbmc addons and worst on youtube, put a nice video of the replies I got on this forum and hope it goes viral,, no custumer support!!!!

First off, are you a customer? This is not a retail project. It is Luna working on something for the benefit of the community. While you can donate, he is still offering this for free, so it is not a consumer project.

Second, you just keep spouting off the same things over and over again a dozen times a day. People tried to help you, and gave suggestions where to look. You ignored them and just keep spouting the same stuff.

Third, there are tons of XBMC addons that "[do] not work properly". Each of these addons is created by an individual(s) who may or may not have the time and/or resources to properly maintain it. This addon is not even completed yet. Luna is still in the creation and tweaking stage, not the general maintenance stage.

Fourth, perhaps if you asked specific questions, rather than "make this work for my android box", you would get a specific answer that would help you.

Finally, you get back what you put out, so take a look in the mirror and take some time to think before you post next time.

Can you tell me whats going on exactly? PTVL doesn't just delete your settings2 file... you must be killing or shutting down PTVL improperly.. Can you tell me exactly what type of channel and what you are doing leading up to it?

Just so you know... and everyone should know I use PTVL daily, it's my main source of TV in my whole household... so problems like this are hard to miss, it's most likely something unique to your setup, which will require a lot of debugging on your end to help me figure it out...
I have Super Favorites installed and I use a number of live tv channels, sometimes they freeze and the only way to close PTVL is to bring up the task manager and close XBMC. I've also had problems with the EPG while going through the epg it just freezes sometimes up to a minute before it move to the next channel, and it does this constantly, sometimes even longer than a minute and once again i have to bring up the task manager to shut down XBMC. Also as you can see in the screenshot that i provided earlier the channel just say (stacked) no info. Channels start to go missing even after they have been added and shown in the EPG. When i exit PSTVL it could be the next time i run PTVL or even after that , I don't exactly when it will happen but i know it will. To deal with the EPG problem I just turned off the artwork, no more EPG freezes, it's not pretty but it works.

I'll second using Google Code's "Issues" tab to keep track of things like this.

Also, I just submitted a first-run update to addon.xml

Lunatixz, I noticed a minor issue in my set up
If i start PLTV ,exit and restart it, then PLTV always parses 2 images(pstvButtonFocus and pstvNoFocus)from the "default" skin folder even though I use PLTV skin or any other custom skin.

::Update::

Found a bug with the direct plugin parser, should increase accuracy of parsing sources... it will be included in next update

I had this happened to me, I deleted the texture.db in xbmc and it fixed it... never found the reason for the bug... but nothing in code stood out.

Texture didn't work for me...I'll just copy my images to "default' skin folder.

So your custom skin isn't working? I need you to help out, lol... a tmp fix is just that! if you don't help, problem will still exist.

Are you saying when you select "custom" in your skins you see default images? can I see a screen shot?

::Feedback::

I'm thinking about writing a script that searches google images for missing network logos and channel bugs.
Would you be interested? Even tho there is a chance it will use a logo that is either unrelated to the search or something you don't like?

Or do you prefer setting up your own?

(2014-09-26, 04:09)cult Wrote: Hello everyone!

I seem to be encountering an issue with directory interleaving that I had wanted to see if anyone else has encountered a similar issue. I seem to be having issues with interleaving directories into a directory type channel.

For instance, I have 3 directories:

Directory 1 (Configured as the directory used in the base channel configuration)
Directory 2 (interleaved channel)
Directory 3 (interleaved channel)

When the channel is configured with Directory 1 by itself the channel has no issues with appearing after PTL starts, but if the channel is configured with either of the directory interleaved channels the channel wont appear. I though this was kind of strange as all of the directories have the same media type (MP4) and all play well by themselves individually.

By any chance has anyone gotten a similar setup to work on their installations?

No suggestions on this so far? Hmm, just wonder if anyone else has had any luck with this... I hope that I just have something misconfigured and it'd be a quick fix to resolve. Here's my current channel setup with this in case anyone's curious:

http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=306607

Has anyone else had any luck with getting a similar channel configuration working?

Found a bug with the direct plugin parser, should increase accuracy of parsing sources... it will be included in next update

I had this happened to me, I deleted the texture.db in xbmc and it fixed it... never found the reason for the bug... but nothing in code stood out.
Texture didn't work for me...I'll just copy my images to "default' skin folder.

So your custom skin isn't working? I need you to help out, lol... a tmp fix is just that! if you don't help, problem will still exist.

Are you saying when you select "custom" in your skins you see default images? can I see a screen shot?
I have the bug
Not only in custom skins but also in your skin "PLTV"
Example with a fresh install with just rss channels:

First run-ok

then exit PLTV(not xbmc) and start again
