Channel type 15 works for me.What's the issue ?PLTV can't even create the channel?Maybe it's your plugin the issue.I also can't create channels from plugings that contain non english characters.
As for channel type 17,remind me what it stands for.Huh
What plugin and Configuration?
I use one plugin called "Hellenic TV" by Lambda.
The plugin contains folders,most of them with greek names and some with english names.

configuration with english names,works fine
Code:
<setting id="Channel_3_type" value="15" />
    <setting id="Channel_3_rulecount" value="1" />
    <setting id="Channel_3_rule_1_id" value="1" />
    <setting id="Channel_3_rule_1_opt_1" value="Hellenic.Tv  1821..." />
    <setting id="Channel_3_1" value="plugin://plugin.video.hellenic.tv/Documentaries/1821..." />
    <setting id="Channel_3_2" value="" />
    <setting id="Channel_3_3" value="25" />
    <setting id="Channel_3_4" value="Default" />
    <setting id="Channel_3_changed" value="False" />
    <setting id="Channel_3_time" value="256" />
configuration with a greek name at the end can't be parsed
Code:

Im having the following ISSUES:

ISSUES:
1) My live TV channels doesn't work. I've setup two channels for testing, but when I run PTVL it will ask to auto tune and otherwise complain that no channels exist. But there are in fact two channels in my list.
2) PTVL will then take me back to the configuration window but it's not possible to open the channel manager. PTVL will complain that the operation cannot be performed while it's running. So it seems there's still an instance running in the background.
3) When adding a Live TV channel it won't pull the channel name from the PVR backend. PTVL will either leave it blank if no live tv channels were setup before or take the name of the last live TV channel setup before.

LOG: http://xbmclogs.com/pfcjevwru

1) I've had that problem before a few times. Try deleting your settings2.xml and starting again, that seems to help sometimes.

2) I've also run into this problem a few times. Only fix seems to be to restart Kodi.

3) Can you not change the name manually using the channel configuration advanced rules?
Thanks for your response!

1) I actually did that before coz I had channel building issues before. So I uninstalled PTVL, deleted cache folder and settings2.xml, then installed everything again and tried to setup my PVR channels. It's not working.
Is there anything in the logs I posted?

3) Of course, I can do that. I admit it's not a big issue but more a usability improvement. BUT it becomes an issue when you are trying to change a plugin channel to another plugin. PTVL will keep the settings in the fields, so when you click "browse" it'll use the path to the old plugin contents with the new plugin and therefore nothing can be set up. You have to set the channel to "none", leave the channel manager to save, then reopen it again. For example, let's say for channel #2 I'm using the "MyTV" plugin and set it to pull contents from the path/node "MyTV>Documentaries>New". I then change the plugin to "YourTV" plugin (which, of course, doesn't have that path/node). The "browse" field will keep the old value (ie. the old path/node) and therefore when clicking the "browse" button nothing happens (throbbler appears, then disappears, but no dialog to browser to the plugin path/nodes will show). It looks like this is because PTVL is using the old field value with the new plugin.
In this scenario I would definitely call it an undesired behavior that should be fixed.

The only thing I can see in the logs is:

23:30:45 T:928 ERROR: script.pseudotv.live-ChannelList: Unable to get information about channel 1
23:30:46 T:928 NOTICE: Valid_ok Cache
23:30:46 T:928 ERROR: script.pseudotv.live-ChannelList: Unable to get information about channel 2

But I'm not sure what is causing the error. You're going to need more expertise than I possess I'm afraid.

As for the other issue I've also noticed the entries staying from a previous config. I almost seems that in the latest version PTVL has trouble pulling all information from the settings2 file. I've entered properly configured entries into my settings2 on my test machines but PTVL hasn't picked them up.

Just to check, you setup the pvr:// source like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=donX-teES1U?? I missed that step when I tried to add liveTV channel

Cheers!

Yes, it setup pvr:// as a source. Without doing so I wouldn't even find any live TV channels in the channel manager using the browse button.

Is there a bug with getting up next not to show on directory channels.
I have "Hide coming up next " in the channel configuration but the pop up is still showing.

I"ll look into it... but i'm not sure when I would be pushing my next update.

New branch of PseudoTV Live was started, called PseudoTV Lite.... It will only support LocalTV and will be optimized for low power HTPC.

RE: [FORK] "PseudoTV Live" w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - pcdude - 2015-02-28

I've been trying to get a HDHomerun stream to show up in the channel guide using the xmltv structure. I've created the xmltv.xml file using mc2xml, and stored it to the location pointed to in settings.xml. I've extracted the channel id from the file for the channel in question. I created the following and placed it in the settings2.xml file:

<setting id="Channel_9_type" value="8" />
<setting id="Channel_9_1" value="I7.45454710.microsoft.com" />
<setting id="Channel_9_2" value="http://192.168.2.121:5004/auto/v9.1?transcode=mobile" />
<setting id="Channel_9_changed" value="True" />
<setting id="Channel_9_time" value="4734" />
<setting id="Channel_9_rulecount" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_9_rule_1_id" value="1" />
<setting id="Channel_9_rule_1_opt_1" value="ABC" />

The channel does not display at all. If I change the channel type to "9", it shows up and plays however, so I know the link to the HDHomeRun is correct. The channel is recognized in the settings GUI, and a "channel_9.m3u" file is created in the cache folder with the following line:

#EXTM3U

A side note: Hitting the "stop" button, or "x" on the keyboard seems to close the add-on, but it sometimes goes into a loop where it says it can't load files. Is this normal?

EDIT: pastebin log: http://pastebin.com/QWbtha9f
This is the only reference I could find:
17:47:00 T:4814708736 ERROR: script.pseudotv.live-ChannelList: Unable to get information about channel 9

I have the same problem with hebrew, but it never worked before.
I have a script that deletes the hebrew translation from a certain plugin folder whenever it updates,
My problem earlier was that i didnt changed the path after switching from xbmc to kodi.

I have the same problem with hebrew, but it never worked before.
I have a script that deletes the hebrew translation from a certain plugin folder whenever it updates,
My problem earlier was that i didnt changed the path after switching from xbmc to kodi.
plugin and configuration?
