I'm loving the new updates! I like a lot that you've made it so YouTube channels can be scraped past 50 videos, but I do wish there was a way to set a limit to how many can be found. Certain YT channels now completely dominate my PSTV YT multi-channels, making the random feature less functional. 100 would be my preference. Also, I'm not a fan of the select-to-restart function. I didn't have an issue with hitting the skip back function to restart videos. None of these are really problems by any means, just ideas.

Other than that, I think this add-on is perfect. You have no idea how much I appreciate it as it's running pretty consistently in my and my girlfriend's house. You've done great work.

I need users to start submitting to the community list, can't test the automated system fully if nobody is using it... Thanks

I'm loving this guide. It's gorgeous!

I've donated and make my 10 posts, however, the forum won't let me PM.
When I try, I get this:

"You do not have permission to access this page. This could be because of one of the following reasons:
Your account has either been suspended or you have been banned from accessing this resource.
You do not have permission to access this page. Are you trying to access administrative pages or a resource that you shouldn't be? Check in the forum rules that you are allowed to perform this action.
Your account may still be awaiting activation or moderation. (Resend Activation Code)
You have accessed this page directly rather than using appropriate forms or link."

I've already done the activation, so that's not the problem. I don't understand. I just want to PM to unlock donor features.

What am I doing wrong?

I've just updated to the newest version from the last version (forget version number of previous). I don't have "fetch artwork" enabled. On the previous version, the show info ("I" button) would show the channel logo where the show's art would be. Now, it only shows the PTVL logo instead. Was something changed? Just curious.

Also, I've noticed that I seem to be missing a lot of the EPG goodies. Here's a screenshot. I have all of the recommended/required/etc. addons installed.

I'll try to stay up to date with PTVL and I plan on contributing some media every once in a while.

there is no "fetch artwork" or any type of artwork switch, it's always on... at least it should be.
Only option is "find missing info" which will find artwork if you don't' have it locally.

Try enabling "find missing info" and clearing art cache.

Hey Luna, I went ahead and tried this...still nothing. I'm finding that now the art shown for the on-screen info is the previously viewed channel's logo. I'll try to upload a log, but it's 41 MB...

(PS--sorry, i mean't find missing info, not "Fetch artwork")

I think we're having the same issue Ryan. Sent him a log a couple days ago--hopefully that'll solve both our issues when he has a chance to take a look.

Anyone else dealt with the issue " Failed to start commoncache. Check log" I have gone through my latest log file and there is no refrence to that anywhere. I get it on every start up. I even tried a fresh install of just kodi and pseudotv live and it showed up there as well.

RE: PseudoTV Live w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - kazak - 2015-06-30

extendedInfo works great for tv shows I add for plugins. If the channel type is "TV Show" (from my library) the show cannot be found (from "now playing" option from the sidebar) from the movieDB. Why isn't it using TVDB? There is no option to manually change the show that extendedInfo is using that I can see. Anyone know what I can do here? Also, if I accidentally go to now showing for a youtube playlist, PseudoTV hangs for quite a while and changes channels and doesn't like it. If there is an extendoInfo error, can't it just quit the menu and go back to the player?

Yes, I am...not sure if that's supposed to happen or not with this latest version.

I donated a month ago to the project and still nothing. I also emailed my info. Is there really a donor unlock? How long before I get my code?

RE: PseudoTV Live w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - zaz102 - 2015-07-01

I am having two issues:

1.) I do not see the option to change skins.

* I am looking in the Visuals tab within the settings.
* I extracted and copied over skin's contents into Custom folder (AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\script.pseudotv.live\resources\skins\Custom).

2.) I do not see option for "Community List" when trying to adding a Plugin channel type.

* I have enabled community list within the settings.
* I signed up to the pseudotvlive.com website using email address

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Change log reads:
Quote:All Skins temporarily removed, include "Custom" Option.

As far as Community List, In previous post, Luna says to submit so that he can make sure it's working. I'm assuming that no submissions have been made yet which is why you're not seeing it maybe?

1. Skins are disabled by default for now, to allow Luna to focus on the main program. This feature will be re-added in the future.

2. The community lists do work, and there is content in these currently. Luna's post was about testing certain automated features that he has added to community lists.

You can only find them under certain plugin types: I.E. RSS & youtube. The "Browse Community List" option is a sub-option of various plugins. Note: You have to enable community lists and sign in with a gmail account to enable community lists under settings --> community/donor in order for this to work.

Luna:
I have a question about youtube multi-channels, and I wanted to ask you if this is the correct behavior for this channel type before diving into the problem anymore. Sorry if someone has already asked about this, I haven't found it on the forum yet. Here is a settings2 configuration for a channel:

Code:
<setting id="Channel_42_type" value="10" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_rulecount" value="2" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_rule_1_id" value="1" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_rule_1_opt_1" value="TestTube" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_1" value="ScamSchool|NatureHates|VintageSpace|TestTube101|TestTubePlus|fig1|Manthropologyshow|obscuresorrows|lifenoggin|HardScienceShow|iflscience|brewagetv|TheDiscoveryslowdown|fwthinking|shotsofawe" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_3" value="50" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_4" value="1" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_changed" value="False" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_2" value="Multi Channel" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_time" value="0" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_rule_2_id" value="13" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_rule_2_opt_1" value="6" />
    <setting id="Channel_42_SetResetTime" value="1435735612" />

First off, I do know that this is a lot of video to pull into one single channel, and I am planning on splitting these into test tube 1, 2, etc.

So basically when the channel populates, it pulls 25 or 50 (depending on the limit setting) videos from the first youtube channel, and then stops pulling video from any of the other channels. I might get lucky here and there and get one video from another channel. This is the same regardless of sort order. Is this behavior correct, or do I need to look deeper into the issue? In other words does a random multi-channel pull X random videos from all listed channels, or X videos from channels in order and then randomize them?

I will change it to parse the limit per channel, shuffle and return limit

Okay, I'll do my own homework then. Big Grin

On a completely iunrelated note, is there anyway to completely suppress the box which pops up when a youtube video is loaded with the cancel button? As it stands there is a gap experienced between stacked videos or BCTs when they are loaded from youtube and that bit of dialog pops up and goes away before the video loads. Or is this a Kodi system theme issue? I'll try to test out other themes to see if this makes a difference, but if anyone can offer some suggestions I'd appreciate it.
