Microsoft changed the format of the xml file when they changed listing providers. If you purchase the donator version of mc2xml it will be fixed.

I started using Zap2XML when Microsoft switched to from Zap2it to Rovi. Zap2XML pulls it's data directly from Zap2it instead of using Microsoft's legacy service to pull the exact same data. I love mx2xml and I still use it to grab data for my UK channels but with the new semester starting next week, twenty bucks is a lot for me right now.

Sidenote: If you using Zap2XML with Linux, you need to use the perl file and make sure to install/update your TimeDate package from the Perl package manager.

So nobody else has the problem that movies start from the beggining even though it shouldnt?

Just tried zap2xml (on windows) and getting the same problem.

edit: Figured it out. Switched the encoding to UTF-8

I'll try installing on my old PC after I wake some more (west coast). Is it the time issue?

How did you switch the encoding?

Lots of us have it.

It happens to me more often while the background updates are ongoing.

I don't know, some ptvl versions in the past had this behavior where the movie would start at the beginning at first, but a second later it would skip to the correct spot. Not sure if it was something luna intended or not. The latest version for me does not do that and a lot if movies just start from the beginning.

Luna said a couple of times that it was a kodi bug but I'm not really sure what the issue is there.

By adding the -U option. You should take a look at all the options from the website, they differ greatly from mc2xml options.

Thanks. I had figured it out and was about to edit my comment but you beat me to it. It looks like zap2xml is quite superior to mc2xml when it comes to configurability.

I think they're both highly configurable. mc2xml has the ability to merge xml files which is useful if you're grabbing multiple lineups but the free version doesn't work with zap2it at the moment. zap2xml is just as fast, grabs directly from Zap2it, but if I wanted to grab an additional lineup I'd have to set up a different account and it doesn't provided UK data. Both are equally amazing in my book and I'm pretty sure they're made by the same person because both websites also link to the other's website as an alternative.

You are not alone. I get it too. Not on every movie, but a lot. It's one of a few problems I've been experiencing for quite some time. Along with random channels missing each time PTVL starts and an inability to jump to the beginning of any video file containing chapters (which is most of mine).

RE: PseudoTV Live - w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - jctennis - 2015-08-23

Ok, I have tried mc2xml, I have tried zap2xml. I have tried both with and without the -U option to change the encoding. I tried using mc2xml with Schedules Direct. No matter what I use or try PseudoTV Live does not like my damn xmltv files. Is this a bug? Am I being an idiot and missing something? I need to get this figured out pretty quick because my wife is starting to get pissed.

RE: PseudoTV Live - w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - ronvenema - 2015-08-24

What program are you using for your backend? I am using media portal with the donator version of mc2xml for over the air stations. Kodi Isengard 15.1 recognizes the stations correctly but I am unable to get PTVL 6d to list any stations. I have just accepted the fact that this is beta software and is going to take time for Luna to get it working correctly.

RE: PseudoTV Live - w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - User 134278 - 2015-08-25

I have been following this project for 2+ years in hopes of a stable build but each time I install, I get a complete lockup of Kodi when opening the guide.

Can't say I'm asking too much of it. All I want in my list are TV channels and movie genres. From the config menu, looks like ~80 channels.

Things I've done:
- Moved devices from Rpi 1 > AFTV > AFTV Stick > Rpi 2... issue remains on each device
- Set device type as Android and or Pi depending on device... no effect
- Completely uninstalled Kodi and PTVL, defaults work on first boot... guide freezes again on next run
- Gave up on my old .xml and had PTVL build its own... still locks up
- Disabled almost every PTVL setting that would take CPU/mem/internet... same issue
- Dropped playlist items from 100+ down to bare minimum... no change
- Switched up connection types, locations, etc... same issue

It'd be great if I could get this working on the AFTV considering I have several off them which I had hoped to use for this setup.

Current Device:
- Rooted AFTV w/ rbox OS
- Kodi 15.1 for ARM
- Wired/Wireless to network
- Media located on SMB share (mounted by IP)

What gives with this plugin? Is it not stable?

RE: PseudoTV Live - w/ LiveTV, InternetTV and added Strm Support - jxke - 2015-08-26

I've tried to get this add-on to work many times. Even with a fresh install and following various YouTube tutorials.

I cannot get this to work on the Fire TV Stick at all. The YouTube options are greyed out in the context menu. The only channels it will load are the 7 basic channels from USTVNow and when it plays the channels, there is no video and it states that the guidedata is missing.

I'm at wits end and there's no real setup guide from the developer that I can find.
I have no stored media setup yet. I'm simply trying to get the Live TV options and guide working correctly and playing video.

Why he hasn't released a full rom/or copy that is preconfigured and somewhat works is beyond me.
