[Archive] Arctic - jurialmunkey - 2013-08-10 THIS THREAD IS CLOSED - IT RELATES TO THE OLD VERSION OF ARCTIC - THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR THIS VERSION - THIS THREAD IS RETAINED HERE FOR ARCHIVE PURPOSES This skin originally started as a mod to bring an Alaska spin to Black's amazing xperience1080 skin. It has since evolved into a beast of its own. So I present 'Arctic mk.II' watch gallery

Thanks Black for xperience1080 which served as the base to this skin Additional icon credits go to Piers and Saste for their icon packs for xperience1080. Hitcher and djh_ for the Alaska skin which served as inspiration. All the Aeon Nox team from where I used a few icons. All the xbmc team and addon developers. Anyone I forgot, let me know and I'll add you here. RE: Arctic - hunkyn - 2013-08-10 Great work jurial. Congratulations again RE: Arctic - jurialmunkey - 2013-08-10 Thanks RE: Arctic - Cassiel - 2013-08-10 Textures.xbt for latest GIT. Delete all files in skin/media and put the Textures.xbt in it. Skin should be much smoother now, especially on systems with low performance like RPi and Atom. RE: Arctic - Azake - 2013-08-10 jurial when I am git pulling it says: error: Your local changes to the following files would be overwritten by merge: addon.xml Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can merge. Aborting I already made a new addon.xml but still saying that. I am just ignoring it. Just wanted to mention it. RE: Arctic - deletedpenguin - 2013-08-10 Great work mate, and glad to see it moving forward as its own skin. Thanks for sharing all your hard work with us. RE: Arctic - zedika - 2013-08-10 Awesome Work mate this is truly a great skin. Thank you for sharing your time and effort. RE: Arctic - Kokonutcreme - 2013-08-10 Glad to see you have your own thread now Jurial. Well deserved for a fantastic skin. RE: Arctic - jurialmunkey - 2013-08-10 (2013-08-10, 12:00)Azake Wrote: jurial when I am git pulling it says: Yeah, that's a git error -- nothing to do with me. Basically its because you changed a file and then I have updated that file so doing a pull would overwrite your changes - so git aborts rather than downloading changes and messing everything up. You need to stash your changes then pull in the latest. Code: git stash and this will clear out the stashed changes (basically 'stash' tells git to keep a copy of your previous changes in case you wanted to revert back to them). Code: git stash clear RE: Arctic - Azake - 2013-08-10 Thanks jurial. I am learning here so much Thanks RE: Arctic - Smobbo - 2013-08-10 Just wanted to drop in and say thanks! Love this skin, only discovered it last week and it is already my daily drive ! I especially like the dark theme. Just awesome! RE: Arctic - Baswazz - 2013-08-10 Looks cool! RE: Arctic - bandelguy - 2013-08-10 i tried to pull from github, its giving errors RE: Arctic - Azake - 2013-08-10 I hope you don't try the git pull with the "https:" so first you have to navigate into the directory cd .xbmc/addons/skin.arctic try: Code: git clone git://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic EDIT: Sorry made a mistake. It should just work with just "git pull" when you are in the "skin.arctic" directory. I guess you already knew that. If it isnt working I think it's a github problem. RE: Arctic - bandelguy - 2013-08-10 i tried using both git bash and smartgit 4.6.6, both gave errors |
