Is/was it this?

Thanks - that's exactly it. Will try the workaround.

Update: Workaround doesnt seem to work for me Sad

RE: Amber for Frodo - Support thread - Atinkler - 2014-01-20

Can anyone please advise me how to actually add this http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=f6xCzcQ7 patch?
Where do I place it? Or am I being dumb and its a command I ssh in? Noob alert but I'm learning

Edit

Ok got it.. I now know I need to update 2 files in xbmc video ...but I can't find the path on the pi .. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Amber for Frodo - Support thread - pecinko - 2014-01-20

In Xbmc source code I guess. And re-build afterwards Smile

Maybe asking Martijn to fetch show posters instead of seasons in widgets?

RE: Amber for Frodo - Support thread - Atinkler - 2014-01-20

Ah now I'm right out of my depth :-)

Is Martijn the person who created the recently added widget?

Amber for Frodo - Support thread - pecinko - 2014-01-20

Yup.

If you're using OpenELEC, try a Gotham development build which includes that patch (PR3546):

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=169674&pid=1605602#pid1605602

The patch is C++ code, so you can't just add it to an existing installation, you need to recompile the whole XBMC application from source code with that patch included.

RE: Amber for Frodo - Support thread - Atinkler - 2014-01-21

I've posted on the raspbmc forum to see if one of the team will put the patch into a nightly build for amber users

RE: Amber for Frodo - Support thread - jimmymcmahon - 2014-01-21

What are the dimensions of the default AMBER backgrounds please? I have created some more sub menu items and I would like to add my own images. Where is the default location for the images ?

Thanks

Take a look at skin.amber folder.

I can confirm that PR3546 fixes the missing artwork in recent/recommended widgets.

RE: Amber for Frodo - Support thread - Atinkler - 2014-01-25

I've tried it and I have not had any luck. I even started to see it happen on brand new shows so with a bit of delete this delete that, rescan etc I found it to be the tv nfo being created by sickbeard causing the problem. I deleted it from the new show folder and from the arrow folder (which had seasons) and both scanned perfectly. But for me the patch didn't work.

Hey DBMandrake
You were right very simple and it's really helped.
Now I'm in the mood to tinker and probably mess it all up I was hoping you or pecinko could point me in the direction of the following fonts sizes.
On fanart view with show info I've increased the font size to 31 which makes a big difference but I'm now wanting to increase the info above.
It's the 2 lines which are
year/rating/episodes • # (#)
Tags eg Action/Adventure

Then when I click into an e episode details the lines above plot which are
Date • minutes • rating

I've tried to search but no luck at all and my head m now really hurts :-)

So please any help would be great

If you mean the plot description on the movies/tv shows list that's easy to customize. Edit font.xml, search for the following line:

Code:
<fontset id="Arial nocaps" unicode="true" idloc="31391">

Then below this line search for:

Code:
<font>
      <name>InfoPlot</name>
      <filename>Arial.ttf</filename>
      <size>31</size>
      <aspect>1.0</aspect>
          <linespacing>1.0</linespacing>
    </font>

Adjust the size, aspect and linespacing here. (It will take effect after choosing reload skin or restarting xbmc) The InfoPlot font is used on the plot description in the movie/tv listings, in the full screen plot description (pressing info from a movie listing) and also in the full screen video info display. (pressing info from a playing video) From memory it is not used anywhere else.

If you're only editing it for yourself you can't get into much trouble - just keep a backup of Font.xml. It took me quite a while to figure out what all of the various fonts tags are used for (and I may have missed one or two locations) so when changing fonts in one location in the skin you have to be wary of the same tag affecting a font elsewhere in another layout in such a way that text no longer fits or spills beyond the boundaries. Sometimes a font tag size is a compromise between two different locations in the skin.

I could have gone a little bit bigger with the plot font but I was trying to keep it looking readable yet proportionate on both a 22" bedroom TV and a 32" living room TV.

Hey, Pecinko. I was just pushed the latest version of Amber. It looks good! I really like the new option to use lower case fonts. The new black background will take some getting used to, but I'm starting to warm up to it already. I think it makes the skin seem more sleek and modern!

Thanks again for all of your hard work on Amber. It's easily my favorite skin!

RE: Amber for Frodo - Support thread - Levi59 - 2014-01-27

Hello to you! Since this afternoon, I noticed a change in the interface of XBMC (skin Amber of course). Scrollbars (small yellow circle) have completely disappeared and there is no longer any visual difference when I pass from the bar to the elements of the list.

The display "List" in my series does not display either "seen / unseen" in seasons list.

Is this normal? Is it an update and if so how to get back to the previous version?
