RE: Dropbox addon - davehiggins21 - 2015-01-30

I've just installed 0.7.8 and it displays the folders and lists the contents but won't open the files displayed. There are no error messages displayed but it does say it's 0.7.8.

Now when I click on my name i see the folder i want but when I click on it there are no contents... Dropbox is right now adding all of my photos to it ... so maybe the problem is that my dropbox is busy... I'll check again in the morning.
I noticed this problem on my window XP test environment as well. With removing the account and adding it again, solved it. Some conversion in the account settings file went wrong. Unfortunately I couldn't find out what...

Thanks for the info! On my Kodio system (Ubuntu) I saw that it displays the correct version (0.7.8). Do you see this in some special menu or just when you show the addon information screen?

RE: Dropbox addon - mjccox - 2015-02-03

I've removed and re-added the account and still no luck.

RE: Dropbox addon - mjccox - 2015-02-03

I'm wondering is there something else that I have to delete? another hidden folder or anything to get rid of it completely then try again?

the userdata/addon_data/plugin.dbmc is the only place Dbmc stores it's settings. So when you delete this folder, you start from fresh again. But first stop Kodi, then delete the folder and then start Kodi again.
If it doesn't work after that, send me your Kodi-log. From the logging, I should get a better idea what is going on!

I had the same issue on my RaspberryPi with Kodi. A restart of Kodi solved it for me!

Hey Guys. Warning: I'm a total noob, so sorry if this is an annoying question. I need to sync my android box with my dads so he can get whatever changes I make. I enabled the addon successfully, but have zero idea how to get the sync to work. i went to the addon settings and tried the sync settings tab, but it says settings cant be changed from there anymore. when I open the addon, I see my account, which is nice, but have no idea how to select what folders/addons or data I want to sync. Any help would be great!

Hi, I don't think this addon does what you want... It only provides a one-way synchronization! Read here what this means:
http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Dbmc_%28Dropbox_add-on%29#The_synchronizing_service
There you can also read how to setup the synchronization service for an added account.

RE: Dropbox addon - cousinzeke - 2015-02-04

Okay Thanks! Can I use this to sync a favorites/superfavorites folder between multiple devises?

RE: Dropbox addon - cousinzeke - 2015-02-04

Also, do i need to make a backup of xbmc-put it in my dropbox folder and let it sync from there? sorry again for the ignorance. LOTS to learn!

Sorry, but I have the same problem with Kodi on my NUC. A restart of Kodi doesn't help. I can´t open the files displayed (JPEGs).

Are you trying to view the files from the "Picture" menu? I think pictures are only shown from the Picture menu!
When you think you found a bug, please help me investigating by sending your Kodi (debug) logging of the problem. See here how to do that:
http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Easy
Thanks.

Big Grin That´s it. Tried to view them via AddOn in the "Picture" menu and what should I say... it works like a charm. Thanks!

RE: Dropbox addon - davehiggins21 - 2015-02-08

I wasn't in the picture section but as soon as I selected pictures it started caching files and after a while and a reboot it started displaying pictures on my Pi. Thanks for all the good work.#

RE: Dropbox addon - ifihadahifi - 2015-02-09

Thank you for this nice addon! However, I can not get it to work on my new raspberry pi 2 running openelec 5.0.1. Known issue? Im using the latest dbmc release linked in this thread. I'll provide a log later if you want to take a look.
