Can you make Generic x86 build (intel, amd)? the build you have listed as generic x86_64 is actually the i386 build aswell.

Oops, hopefully people read the filename. I'll fix the link

Is there an existing x86_64 build somewhere?

Is it possible to use multiple controllers for 2+ player games in the current build? I can't see any way of doing it if it is. If not, will that functionality come with the input api overhall?

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Gotham) - dr88dr88 - 2014-06-04

I first installed the wrong open elec version 32 bit and I now installed the correct 64 bit but now game will not launch anymore I get the below kind errors:

12:08:49 T:140108024129344 ERROR: AddOnLog: NES / Famicom (bNES): Unable to load /storage/.xbmc/addons/gameclient.bnes/bnes_libretro.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
12:08:49 T:140108024129344 ERROR: AddOnLog: NES / Famicom (bNES): Failed to load /storage/.xbmc/addons/gameclient.bnes/bnes_libretro.so

I already tries to uninstall the emulator add-on and remove the add-on directories but this did not work.
How can I correct this error ?

Update:

I solved the issue by first deleting the add-on data base.

The error was indeed caused by trying to load 32-bit emus. Thanks for posting your solution! Sorry for the openelec URL mixup Smile

Hello together,

i am quite new to xbmc/openelec and came across garbears awesome builds here. First of all i want to thank you for your effort!

And have a little question also:
Has someone tried to manually "update" a normal openelec version to RP with putting the files to the update folder? Since it took me some time to set up my current normal openelec version with addons and custom menus and stuff, i am trying to be lazy here Smile (Meaning i don't want to set it all up again on the RP build)

I would be grateful if someone could share experience on the matter...

I updates my NUC via the update folder andere it worked fine.

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Gotham) - moocow1452 - 2014-06-05

I'm using the unofficial ARM version for RPi posted earlier in OpenELEC, and was wondering if we could add a failure condition in repository-libretro compiles, since I'm doing all the cores on the board, and losing <48 hours worth of work because your router our your Pi's power connection goes poopy is tower-smashingly frustrating.

After installing retro player test build, is it possible to update xbmc or openelec while keeping retro player?

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Gotham) - OmniBlade - 2014-06-06

I don't believe so, not until it has been rebased on the newer code base. Retroplayer is part of the code base, not something that is installed seperately on top of XBMC.
