If it's not too much to ask, could you please base your next OpenElec build off of Fritsch's EGL? It would really provide the best of Retroplayer and OpenElec. Thanks for the consideration!

http://fritsch.fruehberger.net/openelec/v15_2_EGL//OpenELEC-Generic.x86_64-6.0.95-fritsch.tar

What's so special about this particular build? No to sound like a snob, I just can't find any information or reference to it anywhere, hoping you could clarify what it does differently.

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Isengard) - mumbles - 2015-11-10

I'd like to try to get this running on my ASUS Chromebox i.e. the M004U with a Celeron 2955U. I'm a Linux n00b & don't really know what to do with the SYSTEM or KERNAL files letalone the MD5 files. Here’s what I’m working with:
OpenELEC 6.0.0 (Generic.x86_64)
Kernel: Linux 4.1.12
Kodi 15.2 Git:02e7013 (Nov 1st 2015)

Has anyone ever got a retro emulator to run under Kodi 15.2 on an ASUS Chromebox? I just can't seem to figure it out. I've tried RetroArch, RetroPlayer and Rom Collection Browser but nothing seems to actually launch an application I can use. Thanks!

Trying out the latest build on a Win 7 machine. Kodi hangs at the splash screen when I launch it and I have to force close it. Log is here. I've installed it alongside a standard build on the same machine and I'm launching this Retroplayer version in portable mode.

Hm, I'm not seeing an error in the log. Did the hang happen on previous builds? can you try with a fresh userdata folder? A while ago Montellese was seeing some deadlocks in the peripherals code, not sure if this is related.

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Isengard) - zachmorris - 2015-11-14

I uninstalled, then re-installed. Same thing happened.
I uninstalled, then installed the previous version (KodiSetup-20151001-5d4efc1-retroplayer-15.1.exe). This version actually didn't even get to the splash screen. Here's the log it produced, but again doesn't look very interesting.

The peripherals I have on this computer are:
- An xbox 360 controller (actually a PS3 controller, but it's using the windows workaround SCPServer to make it look like an xbox 360 controller, since there isn't a driver that works with it otherwise)
- A nyxboard remote

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Isengard) - sunlollyking - 2015-11-16

Are there any installation notes for a non-Raspberry Pi build? I thought i'd need an img file for a clean install.

Any help is appreciated, great work!

Trying to download the latest windows build (KodiSetup-20151027-e83fc3b-retroplayer-15.2.exe) leads to a 404 not found

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Isengard) - KidVulcan - 2015-11-23

Hi, I apologize if this has already been addressed but can I just install the latest version over the one I already have or is it best to do a fresh install?

Thanks

RE: RetroPlayer Test Builds (updated for Isengard) - KidVulcan - 2015-11-24

Ya, all of the download links seem to be downSad

Patience people.

Retroplayer is still in heavy development and builds wont always be regular (they disappear after a month on our mirrors).

I fixed the links for windows and osx

Hi, Its been a few years since I tried retroplayer. I'm running into some issues straight away. Apologies if these are already know. I am running the latest OpenElec build from the first post OpenELEC-RetroPlayer-20151027-e83fc3b-Generic.x86_64-5.95.5.zip with a wireless 360 control.

Full debug log here > http://xbmclogs.com/pt3yba4bk#line-899

Stumbling point is when setting up the controller in Settings > Games > Input > Default device. it runs through the first buttons fine until we get to "Up" I press the up button and it skips the down button and goes to "right" same happens on right ie left is skipped. Think this can be seen via the snippet below which shows button 13 pressed for up, and its not released until after down is configured.

Code:
11:10:52 T:140448934647680   DEBUG: Joystick Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver: Button 13 pressed

I had to manually edit the buttonmap.xml to correct my controller.
