It seems you copied my patch as "formated html output"? ....

always do: make clean, always do ccache -cC and git clean -xfd

Yeah it seems so. Forgot to save the raw version... Compiling right now.

So i did all the above. And it does exactly the same.

RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - fritsch - 2014-01-11

No idea. Which pulseaudio version does debian ship?

RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - gradinaruvasile - 2014-01-11

I have 4.06, the version from Debian Testing.

The gui didnt even show up this time, but xbmc eat 4.8GB RAM until i killed it from gdb.

Please also add xbmc.log

RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - fritsch - 2014-01-12

Use that: PULSE:alsa_output.pci-0000_00_01.1.hdmi-stereo as your device for both.

and post xbmc.log again, please.

This is from your log:

That's a joke :-)

I added another commit to the current PR, let's discuss that issue on IRC. Without spamming the whole thread. https://github.com/fritsch/xbmc/commit/4abfd6b92bd89d25506b008dd805ee7c9ef5a405

Please bear with me.
I cannot get to the ui AFTER i set the audio device to "Internal Analog (PULSEAUDIO)".
If i launch the old xbmc, it will automatically change the audo device in the xml back to the alsa-pulse device, after which i can launch the new xbmc and access the gui - but i still have that alsa device (named differently) as default output device in the system panel - audio settings.
There i saw 2 things happening:
- i can "mouse" around and nothing happens UNTIL i click on the default audio device and set it to the internal analog which is the pulseaudio server after which xbmc starts eating RAM
- or in the instant the cursor reaches the audio options text xbmc starts eating RAM.

I manually copied and pasted "PULSE:alsa_output.pci-0000_00_01.1.hdmi-stereo" in the xml's <audiodevice> and i got this :
http://pastebin.com/ZtW3HY2z
Doesnt seem to be any different.

How can i apply it? "Git am" said "format detection failed".

I won't reply here anymore, this is spamming the whole thread. Visit IRC tomorrow, when you find time.
