RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - jaymax - 2014-01-22 I've been having trouble with audio on 3.13 kernel. Works fine on 3.12. Just using 2 channel line out from the motherboard straight to TV. Made sure nothing (except front/rear mics) is muted in alsalmixer. Here's my logs: dmesg: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799418/ xbmc.log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799419/ Xorg.0.log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799420/ vdpauinfo: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799422/ mesa: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799428/ RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - fritsch - 2014-01-22 there is no hdmi audio device coming up. Are you using the xbmc.conf the howto provides? RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - jaymax - 2014-01-22 (2014-01-22, 23:24)fritsch Wrote: there is no hdmi audio device coming up. Are you using the xbmc.conf the howto provides? I had the old startxbmc.sh version. Just updated, rebooted, and same issue. Although, I'm not using hdmi audio, I'm using 3.5mm audio jack. I realized I had an old sound card, so I threw that in, but still no sound. Here's the logs with the new card: dmesg: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799681/ xbmc: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799685/ xorg: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6799687/ RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - fritsch - 2014-01-22 Post: amixer | pastebinit aplay -l | pastebinit Take your iphone and make a screenshot of your audio settings. And remove that other card, it's drivers are highly problematic. Edit2: Why the hell did you force Deinterlace to On? .... keep that one Auto for all files. It terribly bails out. Is there something I should edit in the suspend/resume scripts in "/etc/pm/sleep.d/" to get the video drivers to load properly? RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - fritsch - 2014-01-23 @beschmid: No idea - i did not see any logfiles and my crystalball is away for repair. RE: Radeon OSS with vdpau (howto) - fritsch - 2014-01-23 @jaymax: Besides that it's still full of deinterlacing errors, It seems vdpau does not like your system :-) Please whipe your .xbmc directory, don't install that "trackt" thing for now and get me a clean logfile when doing playback of a) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/clannad.mkv (has no sound) and b) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55728161/fail.flac Only redo the settings the howto wants. I live with roommates, so I have to do it when nobody is watching anything. Just wanted to say thanks for all the help! Try overwriting the EDID (as shown in the audio workaround, perhaps that helps). |
