RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - lmyllari - 2013-11-21 (2013-11-21, 06:22)Dropbear67 Wrote: if the driver is open sourced and should be fixed soon, why hasn't it been fixed with the previous gen nucs??Apparently only a few people noticed it at all. It was mentioned at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46800#c16 (wrong component though) and a developer looked into it. You can see that he correctly identified the likely source of the problem, but nobody followed up and he probably isn't an xbmc user. There is another bug now against the right component, a workaround, and if Intel devs don't address the issue, someone else will. (If nobody else is interested to work on it, I'll take a stab when I have time). It shouldn't be very difficult, one just has to figure out how to pass parameters to the shader nicely (or even make a copy with the right coefficients and some simple code to select shaders). That´s awesome, but this is starting to get way beyond my horizon of understanding this :/You're welcome to try my build if you'd like. Any idea what would be a good place to upload a 100MB package for those who are brave enough to test? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - gamble - 2013-11-21 I´d be totally in for testing, i´m already used to flash my Nuc at last once per day lol Hm dunno, maybe Dropbox ? And can u verify my Library Problem, are u expierencing the same ? Should be enough to just add any Movie and try updating the Library to test this.. Quote:And can u verify my Library Problem, are u expierencing the same ?Sorry, I'm an xbmc newbie - I haven't even figured out how to set up the library yet. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - gamble - 2013-11-21 I´ll try that at home and will report back, thx alot Haha, cant believe that m8, u dive in the deepest sea searching/finding Solutions for us 2 work but cant swim in flat water (Using XBMC) U r still a hero ;D RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - micoba - 2013-11-21 Still no NUC i3 Kits in Germany... only mainboards. Are there any suitable cases available? Google didn't find anything... RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - cecemf - 2013-11-21 This is a call for all UK people. More computer have just received 20 stocks of the i3 NUC FOR £217 (cheaper then DABS or BT shop http://m.morecomputers.com/prod.aspx?pn=BOXD34010WYK3&nr=bm90aWZ5TWU%3d&x=MzMyNzExNDIz RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - daneel3001 - 2013-11-21 Hi Got my NUC D54250WYK (in the UK, via Dabs) and installed 16GB RAM and a 256GB Sandisk MSATA SSD. Running Windows 8.1 x64 and the November 2013 pack of Intel NUC drivers. Running XBMC current release on it is buttery smooth and so far quite pleased, one bug I noticed though is if I'm adjusting refresh rate of HDMI output to video's then when I finish viewing the content and it's supposed to switch back to 60HZ the screen gets all corrupted and the only way I can recover that is by effectively restarting the device. Google didn't find anything... Hi, I have my Nuc orderd here last week in Germany Klarsicht-it.de but there is only the version without powercord in stock. RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - arokh - 2013-11-21 So I compiled an Arch package with lmyllari's patch for anyone interested: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3104731/libva-driver-intel-git-20120219-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz The above package only works with Haswell CPU, here's the source package if you need to rebuild: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3104731/libva-driver-intel-git.tar RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - zag - 2013-11-21 How is the speed of the i3 version? Is it good enough to run Aeon Nox with all the features? RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - RangerJoe - 2013-11-21 (2013-11-21, 13:18)zag Wrote: How is the speed of the i3 version? Like butter.... RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - Crssi - 2013-11-21 I like AeonNox because I can customize it better than other skins. I dislike AeonNox because it is huge consumer which results in fan noise. I really dont undestand where is the problem here? Is it badly written or it really needs to consume so much resources? hmmm... maybe this question is not for this thread RE: Intel NUC - HTPC (Haswell Late 2013 edition) - arokh - 2013-11-21 I think XBMC in general is badly written. When you think about it these machines are capable of handling heavy 3D games, but XBMC goes through the roof just displaying a skin... It's much better after they implemented dirty regions but still not optimal. Under VAAPI is the refresh rate, no software multithreading option at sll. Should it be there after installing r16406, prior adding codes to autostart.sh? |
