RE: Official Add-On Website- issues and suggestions - Xenik - 2015-06-26

Hi,
I have run into an issue with twitch.tv addon on osmc. My stream loads quite slowly and then lags every few seconds for a bit, rendering it completely unwatchable.I have used osmc on rpi2 from alpha 2, back then everything worked fine. I have recently updated to osmc RC3 and I have this issue with twitch.tv addon.
While watching the statistics during playback i have noticed, that the lag happens when the AS value in the line beginning with C drops below zero. I have concluded that this must be a buffering issue, but i am connected trough a cable on a good connection and no pc/phone/tablet even on wifi dont have buffering issues, also youtube app or fed talks work without a problem on high quality. Also i have set the quality to lowest and this only makes the non lagging part longer but eventualy still lags.
I have gone trough this whole forum and no advice has worked so far. I have tried adding and setting up the advancedsettings.xml in the kodi userdata folder but nothing changed.

Thank you anyone that can help
Xenik

p.s: sorry for my english, hope you understand

Just a reminder, this thread is about the add-on website http://addons.kodi.tv

Nothing else...

RE: Official Add-On Website- issues and suggestions - jmh2002 - 2015-08-09

I subscribe to the new and updated addons list via RSS but it seems some time a while back something changed and now when I click on an individual addon in the feed I am taken only to the summary page (http://addons.kodi.tv), rather than the page for the addon (eg: http://addons.kodi.tv/skin.re-touched)

Strangely my address bar still shows the addon address, but the last part of the text with the addon name is greyed out.

Also, the list on the right hand side titled "Addon Statistics" doesn't seem to be scrollable. It would be nice if it was, especially when we are very lucky like at the moment when a lot of addons have been released or updated.

Would it be possible for someone to have a look at this at some stage please? THANKS Smile

I noticed that the number of downloads just disappaered from http://addons.kodi.tv/show/plugin.video.heritagechannel/

2 hours ago it was still shown there between "Version" and "Released", but now it has gone.

Any particular reason for that?

Best,ookgezellig

you need to add the <forum> tag to your addon.xml
see http://kodi.wiki/view/Addon.xml

Thanks for adding the download count - helps to identify which addons should get priority for fixing. I'm really surprised which of my addons have the highest download counts, are the numbers reasonably accurate?

RE: Official Add-On Website- issues and suggestions - Martijn - 2015-08-30

they should be yes.
Remember you should only trust them if you updated your add-on after 15 August or so.

RE: Official Add-On Website- issues and suggestions - Razze - 2015-09-01

Thanks for this! Really good statistic.

There seems to be a bug here.
As you can see the addon has a link to the author:
http://addons.kodi.tv/show/script.trakt/

But the page does not have the link back
http://addons.kodi.tv/author/Razze/

But http://addons.kodi.tv/author/Trakt.tv/ works fine

Is there a way to report/mark an addon as broken on the site (especially when the developer has abandoned it and won't be fixing it)? This might prevent some disappointment from people downloading broken addons.
