Raspbmc XBMC 12.2 Buzz with HD flac - MrNice - 2014-01-18
Hi,
I installed a new SD card with Raspbmc XBMC 12.2 GT 20131304 - 5a51fa8
I think this is the last stable version.
I only set-up clock, localisation, Speakers config, stopped the fidgeting background and adjusted the CEC to start/stop the AVR.
I found the following issue or bug:
- Test with these audio files
* 8_Channel_ID.wav from http://www-mmsp.ece.mcgill.ca/Documents/AudioFormats/WAVE/Samples.html
* ForUntoUsSurround88.flac from http://www.linnrecords.com/linn-downloads-testfiles.aspx
* Bjorn_Lynne-Voyager_(surround).ac3 from http://www.lynnemusic.com/surround.html
* www_lynnemusic_com_surround_test.ac3 from http://www.lynnemusic.com/surround.html
ForUntoUsSurround88.flac mediainfo:
Audio
Format : FLAC
Format/Info : Free Lossless Audio Codec
Bit rate mode : Variable
Bit rate : 5 837 Kbps
Channel count : 6 channels
Channel positions : Front: L C R, Back: L R, LFE
Sampling rate : 88.2 KHz
Bit depth : 24 bits

If I play first ac3 file Bjorn_Lynne-Voyager_(surround).ac3 or www_lynnemusic_com_surround_test.ac3 and after the file ForUntoUsSurround88.flac, I get one randomly channel with a loudly buzz, other channels playing.
If I play another type (not ac3) before the file, it is alway good.
I did a long test playing each files playing 5 seconds but only with the default player:
1 - Bjorn_Lynne-Voyager_(surround).ac3 then ForUntoUsSurround88.flac 20 times, I got 50% bad,
2 - www_lynnemusic_com_surround_test.ac3 then ForUntoUsSurround88.flac 20 times, I got 60% bad
3 - 8_Channel_ID.wav then ForUntoUsSurround88.flac 20 times, I got 0% bad, all good
4 - Repeat ForUntoUsSurround88.flac 10 times, I got 0% bad, all good
Could someone try the same files and tell me good or bad results?
Do you experience the same issue?
