same issue here on current xbmc git, clean install with aoen nox 5 latest version.
untill i found this thread i thought it is kind of incompatibility with helix, but it seems it's a bug. all my movies have a background/fanart zhat is visible when browsing them. on homescreen when heighlighting Movies i get black screen everytime. i never ever saw a single fanart from movies as a background.

Hi, like already mentioned ... black backgrounds after a new install is caused by missing fanart on your system. A workaround was to go to movies and scroll slowly through al your movies and downloading each fanart. After this, your problem should be fixed.
