RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - allan87 - 2014-03-14 (2014-03-14, 18:37)marcavatar Wrote: Hello guys I have a problem. Since I upgraded to the latest version of the 130314 audio passthrough does not work anymore. I have connected to an amplifier and raspberry until now I have never had any problems. Now when I start a video practically crackles constantly while if I remove the passthrough works. What should I do I go back to the previous version or is there a way to fix things. Happened to you? Thank you.if you upgraded from a version that is more than a few weeks old, have you carefully followed the instructions accompanying the download link, respecting passthrough? RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - marcavatar - 2014-03-14 POPCORNMIX Then I tried to load either version (20140312) who (20140311) and the result was the same, every time I loaded a video with audio passthrough did not load but it felt infinitely crackle then I'm back to full version (20140308) and everything is back in place. I do not understand the problem. I do not understand the problem. Can you confirm if it is a firmware issue? Copy start.elf and fixup.dat from the latest Milhouse build onto your working 20140308 build and report if it still works? RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - marcavatar - 2014-03-14 Yes, the version (20140308) works well while the following versions with dts audio and AC-3 passthrough does not work you will hear a continuous hissing sound. By removing the passthrough back to work. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - marcavatar - 2014-03-14 I just upgraded to the previous version without doing anything else. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - ijsbeer79 - 2014-03-14 And what happens if you update the firmware? RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - 606u - 2014-03-14 88,2 kHz music playback no longer works; last worked on
RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - marcavatar - 2014-03-14 It happens that I have updated to the latest version and audio dts and ac-3 that I play with an external amplifier is gone replaced by a continuous whistling. I'm so back to version 20140308 is the only one that works the following ones do not go I tried them all. hello RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - popcornmix - 2014-03-14 (2014-03-14, 21:52)606u Wrote: 88,2 kHz music playback no longer works; last worked on What does "tvservice -a" report? Does it work if you set "limit sampling rate" to 48kHz (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Audio_Settings) RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - 606u - 2014-03-14 (2014-03-14, 22:15)popcornmix Wrote:(2014-03-14, 21:52)606u Wrote: 88,2 kHz music playback no longer works; last worked on Code: OpenELEC:~ # tvservice -a 44,1 kHz, 96 kHz and 192 kHz does work, just 88,2 kHz doesn't. If I choose Output configuration: Fixed and Limit sampling rate (kHz): any, apart from 88,2 kHz, there is stuttering audio, like repeating half a second audio, half a second pause. Tested with OpenELEC-RPi.arm-Milhouse-20140313233333-r17917-g5bef63b. Boot this instance and make sure Samba is enabled. Copy this build file to the Update folder (via network share) and reboot. Just copy the tar file in the update folder, OE will do the update on reboot. ...and it was as simple as that! Thanks ijsbeer79, and everyone else whose efforts make this a great entertainment platform. Pete RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - Milhouse - 2014-03-15 New OpenELEC Gotham build: #0315 (Supercedes previous build) Code: # uname -a Based on tip of XBMC master (fd2b481, changelog) and tip of OpenELEC master (2bbee7c, changelog) with the following modifications:
Additional Testing Notes:
RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi Part 2 - soupboy - 2014-03-15 Just wondering what people are putting in their advancedsettings nowdays? I haven't updated to any of the newest builds for about 3-4 months but am currently running a Millhouse build from December with customized rbej settings. Is readbufferfactor used anymore? What about dirtyregions? Thanks in advance! The only settings I suggest adding to advancedsettings.xml are included in each release note, and they're only there to help with testing of experimental features. Other than MySQL settings there is very little reason to even have an advancedsettings.xml file. The old rbej settings should not be used nowadays, so just remove them. |
