Can you compile 14.2 windows dual audio with this patch?
https://github.com/a11599/xbmc/commit/0f778d4dcf486155e57fd2277df838a182420482
Sorry, for my english!

Thanks!

Thanks.

Maybe it's already compatible?
Wanted to ask the same question but then for version 5.0.8.

I'm going to compile a fresh build here to see if it does but can take a while so any information if it's compatible or not is welcome Wink

/edit:
It seems to have passed the Kodi compile part. You do need to change patch.
Part to change is this: https://github.com/xhbl/OpenELEC_dualaudio/blob/openelec-5.0-DA/packages/mediacenter/kodi/patches/kodi-142-DualAudio-OE505-r017.patch#L463-L474

Change version info/code and api to 2 like this:
Code:
diff --git a/version.txt b/version.txt
index 6eecc88..488ae53 100644
--- a/version.txt
+++ b/version.txt
@@ -3,7 +3,7 @@ COMPANY_NAME XBMC-Foundation

VERSION_MAJOR 14
VERSION_MINOR 2
-VERSION_TAG
+VERSION_TAG DualAudio-r017
VERSION_CODE 142000
ADDON_API 14.2.000

/edit:
Used/compiled this a lot on Eden but haven't had time yet to test this on Helix.
If there is any daredevil out there that would like to give this a try, use it at your own risk!
Just tested and it works perfect.

Right, but there was no need to do the work - I already compiled OE 5.0.8 Dual Audio for x86_64 and RPi, the rest of the packages are coming soon ...
Maybe I should proceed posting every new version of my builds which are available. Confused

I wasn't aware of that, sorry.

Hi, can someone help me please. I can't seem to get it to work on Gotham.
I followed these steps but it never seems to work, what am I missing?

sudo apt-get install git
sudo git clone -b Gotham-DA https://github.com/xhbl/Kodi_dualaudio.git xbmc
sudo apt-get build-dep xbmc
cd xbmc
sudo ./bootstrap
sudo ./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-debug
sudo make -j4
sudo make xbmc-xrandr
sudo make install

Copying XBMC binary to /usr/local/lib/xbmc/xbmc.bin
install: cannot stat `xbmc.bin': No such file or directory

that's the error I get, when I used the above about 6months ago it worked when Gotham was the latest release, now it no longer works for some reason, what has changed?

any help would be appreciated.

I tried building the Gotham-DA branch (on ubuntu) a few days ago and got errors due to (non-backwards compatible) changes in the libcec interface. Rather than finding the correct old version of libcec I decided to upgrade to Helix.
To confirm you have the same problem run 'make' on its own and check the output for errors.

Helix-DA worked great, however i find Helix extremely buggy and it crashes and freezes a lot. Gotham i find works better for me. after doing a Make i do see errors, does anyone know if there's a way to make Gotham-DA work? if not, should it even exist as a branch, seems pointless to offer it if it can't be built. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a ppa available for ubuntu trusty for the latest kodi with DA patch available? If not, do you think somebody could add one? Thanks

A Helix 14.2 windows executable/build would be nice.

RE: [Project] Return of the Dual Audio Output support (Helix/Gotham/Frodo) - PaulCarter - 2015-04-10

@The_Cack
If the errors you are seeing are in libcec too then it's probably because of an upgrade to a newer version of libcec in Helix, so to fix it you'll need to find & install an old version.
Old releases can be downloaded from https://github.com/Pulse-Eight/libcec/releases
However, I must admit i've not had any problems with Helix DA yet (except that skin support seems to be patchy, at least for my favourite skins!).

@PaulCarter

thank you for the advice, I will give the older versions a try. hopefully i'll get lucky and hit the correct one on the first few attempts.

I just find that Kodi crashes a lot... I know it's not just me, here is an example of the exact same issue... http://www.reddit.com/r/xbmc/comments/2u9w43/kodi_crashing_after_playing_a_video/

but if I can't get gotham working I guess i'm stuck. anyway, thanks again.
