Flashing cursor but can't input anything - misterphil - 2014-04-24 I am trying to put a new internal HDD in my HTPC to replace the external (USB) drive currently in use to store the stuff. It is physically in and recognised in BIOS but when I come out of XBMC using ctrl+alt+F2 I get a flashing cursor (which I need to do formatting commands) but I can't input anything from the keyboard. Any ideas?? I am running openelec 3.2.4 and the HTPC boots from a separate SSD. Thanks, Phil RE: Flashing cursor but can't input anything - fritsch - 2014-04-24 Use ssh. OpenELEC does not have a Terminal Shell on F2 by default. RE: Flashing cursor but can't input anything - misterphil - 2014-04-24 Thanks, I will have to learn about ssh and give it a go. Should I use putty download? Re: Flashing cursor but can't input anything - nickr - 2014-04-25 If you are sshing from windows then putty is the best option. |
