RE: YouTube (IMPORTANT - READ FIRST POST) - garfin - 2016-02-28

Thanks all for getting the youtube plugin back up and running..

Q'n.. Does anyone know of a way of hiding the "search" button from within the Plug-In (or add a show/hide "Search" radio button within config.)?

My 7yo's aren't clever enough to get into Plug In config (yet) and turn on/off the radio buttons for the menu options, but some of the stuff they search for and watch needs constant policing... (Basically i want plugin menu limited to "My Subscriptions" & "Subscriptions")

OMSC: /home/osmc/.kodi/
RPI: /home/pi/.kodi/
OSX: /Users/$USER/Library/Application Support/Kodi/
WINDOWS: %APPDATA%\kodi\
OpenElec: /storage/.kodi/

some information for profile is at Userdata

other thing you can do is go to the filemanager in kodi and then to the profile and then to the userdata/addon_data and delete the plugin.video.youtube.

Doing it this way through Kodi did the trick!!! I am going to try to sign in now and see if I can view subscriptions using latest version 21. Thanks for your help

Can you guys be more specific on what the errors you are getting.

Also it would help to include the log file. Go to http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file to see how to do that step.

Thanks
Jeff

You refer to mobile or desktop. Kodi addon never had this feature.

its really strange.when the first time i install kodi 16 rc3 with youtube 5.1.16 addon in my old laptop,i can get the suggestion, even in global search addons.suddenly,on a bad day, when i search youtube i can not get the suggestion like before.i don't know its a problem with kodi or my network or my system...

RE: YouTube (IMPORTANT - READ FIRST POST) - jdf76 - 2016-02-28

Are you refering to the keyboard suggestions like predictive text, if so, that is a completely different plugin and has nothing to do with the youtube plugin. Off hand i am not sure what the name of the plug in is, but look in programs and it will be in there and you should come a crossed it.

Close Kodi.

In explorer write %appdata% --> Kodi --> userdata --> addon_data --> Delete folder plugin.video.youtube. Now open Kodi and configure YouTube again.
