I have tested all the thing that you reported and here are working.

Please doing this way http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=200735&pid=2262989#pid2262989

I supposed that many of you have already the old folder that create this problems.

RE: YouTube (IMPORTANT - READ FIRST POST) - jmh2002 - 2016-02-29

If I already have your 5.1.19 version installed can I do a direct update to 5.1.20.1? Or do I need to do a clean install and activation again?

RE: YouTube (IMPORTANT - READ FIRST POST) - shearder - 2016-02-29

Hey all

a REAL stupid question but where can i find the newest version to download etc? This thread has over 250 pages and I am exhaustively looking for the right link.

Thanks in advance.

Worked great with XBMC Gotham 13.2 on Win7 (yeah, I'm living in the past, but love my customizations too much to update), thanks for all involved with fixing this!

Ok that's basically a clean install since youtube needs to be reconfigured and reactivated.

But all working ok on 14.2, thank you for your work.

RE: YouTube (IMPORTANT - READ FIRST POST) - Bosse_B - 2016-02-29

I found this in my Raspberry Pi2 with OSMC:
Code:
osmc@osmc:~$ ls -la .kodi/userdata/addon_data/
total 48
drwxr-xr-x 12 osmc osmc 4096 Feb 29 13:25 .
drwxr-xr-x  9 osmc osmc 4096 Nov  1 17:47 ..
drwxr-xr-x  3 osmc osmc 4096 Nov  1 00:58 net.rieter.xot
drwxr-xr-x  3 osmc osmc 4096 Feb 29 13:23 plugin.video.nasa
drwxr-xr-x  2 osmc osmc 4096 Feb 29 13:25 plugin.video.ted.talks
drwxr-xr-x  2 osmc osmc 4096 Jun  9  2015 plugin.video.tv3play.dk
drwxr-xr-x  3 osmc osmc 4096 Feb 29 13:24 plugin.video.youtube
drwxr-xr-x  2 osmc osmc 4096 Jun  9  2015 script.module.buggalo
drwxr-xr-x  2 osmc osmc 4096 Jun  9  2015 script.module.osmcsetting.pi
drwxr-xr-x  2 osmc osmc 4096 Jun 10  2015 script.module.osmcsetting.updates
drwxr-xr-x  2 osmc osmc 4096 Jun  9  2015 script.skinshortcuts
drwxr-xr-x  2 osmc osmc 4096 Nov  1 17:48 script.xbmcbackup
Notice the sub-directory addon_data where it all resides.
I am here trying to figure out why the youtube video does not work....
Do I have to install youtube in another way than from inside KODI?
Why in that case?

RE: YouTube (IMPORTANT - READ FIRST POST) - Bosse_B - 2016-02-29

I tried to install the Youtube add-on the normal way via the Kodi Add-On menu but in that process it offers some kind of final setup that fails miserably.
So Youtube seems impossible to use for a normal Kodi user, who is not able to do manual installs and tweaks from Internet downloaded files.
That should not really be needed anyway. Sad

Obviously this is not the desired outcome. YouTube lost its maintainer.
