Where does XBMC mount the external disk? - PeterTaps - 2014-08-23
Folks,
I used to run xbmc on Ubuntu 13.04. Everything used to work fine. When I connect a usb flash disk, it would show up under Videos-->Files.
Today, I did a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04 and xbmc. Now, when I connect the usb disk, xbmc informs me that it has mounted my "TOSHIBA" disk. However, I don't see anything under Videos->Files.
I am wondering if I missed something.

Linux generally mounts removable media in /media/
Also I find that installing 'udevil' and then running 'devmon' in the background mounts removable media really well.
