And I'm sorry to have to say that this box within a firmware 110k4 is a terribly and useless box!!!

I can only hope it will by better with the next version.

Other people have a great experience with that box.
Maybe install my ROM for RK3288 devices or SPMC v13.3.4 beta 1 for perfect 4K video playback.

Where can I find your Rom?

I did testing the "Finless 1.2 ROM" but it have had the same Problem.
SPMC 13.3.4 beta 1 ist running instabile.

My actually Problems are:
- a very slow Connection with GB-LAN (Transfer 16-20kb)
- a very slow Connection with WLAN-LAN (Transfer 16-20kb)
- not Connection (black Screen) with my Monitor and a small tv
- instable xbmc

A lost Sweets is, that multi-user is not implemented.

Can i use it with r28 Tronsmart device?

Yes, just split your latest Tronsmart firmware with the flash tool.
Replace my boot.img, resource.img and kernel.img with your split firmware files.
Then use mkUpdate.bat to make a single Image file to flash to your device.
Try to use the latest 100k4 firmware of your device.
I will try to upload boot.img for Tronsmart devices with my tweaks also.

Is this still needed? Or is this within tronsmart image now?

ROM can be flashed with only default settings and will work.
Wifi is AP6335.
If you have different wifi or need to use the stock remote, then you need to flash your boot.img, kernel.img & resource.img also to fix wifi & the remote instead of mine.
Can use the 3rd tab of the flash tool to split your single stock firmware file into above single files.

Hello Mo,

I installed your last rom originally, but
I'm afraid to say that all my three point problems are still alive.

- a very slow Connection with GB-LAN (Transfer 16-20kb)
- a very slow Connection with WLAN-LAN (Transfer 16-20kb)
- not Connection (black Screen) with my Monitor and a small tv (the only thing waht helped is unplugged and plugged after start the box)

Do I have a waste-box??

It's not right.
Should be more than 4MB/s with WLAN.
Try mounting samba with CIFS app from Play Store and using that in ES File Manager and compare speed.
Also post AndroBench app from Google Play Store benchmark, change setting read file to 100MB and write file to 50MB for better test.
Here are speedtests from other devices - http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?19668-Different-RK3288-Device-Benchmarks

Try to use different ethernet cable.
Move router closer to device.
Try different channel on router.
Maybe router is at fault, try to test with different router/someone else's

Hello Heiko123,

I used to have Measy b4s RK3288 and it was giving me a lot of networking troubles. I remebre that I had resolved GB LAN issue by disabling both auto-negotiation and flow control.

Hello,

Thanks for your tip, but I can't find this settings under "settings".
Can you say where I can find. Thanks

Hello Heiko123,

I used to do it from the network switch side. I don't know if it can be done from Android device side.

Hello,

Ooooooo, I found my problem. Blush

It was a forgotten syntax. I wrote the domain without syntax ".net" (in es Explorer)
After I completed, it was running very fast.

Hello,
can anyone point me to graphics benchmark performance comparison of Rockchip RK3288 (w Mali T764...or is it Mali T6XX..: i've seen both described w some confusion) VERSUS Asus chromebook M004U (w celeron 2955U and it's graphics chips)? The price of both is within ~$20-30. which should I buy for better graphics and computer power? look forward to your opinions. thanks!

RE: Rockchip RK3288 SoC based Android media players and XBMC experience? - Topken - 2014-12-01

The x86 based Celeron Chromebox will stomp all over the ARM based devices. You can run a full os such as Ubuntu or even Openelec if you just need xbmc.

RE: Rockchip RK3288 SoC based Android media players and XBMC experience? - wrxtasy - 2014-12-01

And just to complicate the issue you can get a portable Acer C720 Chromebook on discount sale now that has the same guts as a Haswell/ Celeron 2955U Chromebox (M004U).

As far as I can tell the only reason to favour android is if you want some of it's apps other than XBMC/KODI.
