I think I found a small bug: I am unable to define the content of (video) sources (TV Show, Movie etc.), both for newly added sources as well as of existing sources. I had to switch to confluence to do that.
What else can I provide to ease debugging?

Anyone know of a way to create a widget that shows recommended tv and movies based on what you've watched? Probably a pipedream but thought I'd ask!

Smart(ish) Widgets is probably what you're after.

Hey Hitcher, I've been loving the updates and collaboration you've been doing with other members too.
One thing bugs me alot, I don't want the "FTV widgets loading" indicator, I want it to just goto the home menu and eventually load my widgets like it used to.
See I test this on a fire tv stick and it takes almost 2 mins to get past that screen, I know as you've said before, take out some widgets but I don't want to, I just want it to goto the home menu like it used to and load the widgets later.
Can you direct me as to what code or calls I need to take out to get it back to how it used to be?

If you're using both skinshortcuts and skinhelper in the skin it should be available automatically, even giving the user the option to install smart widgets. Let me know if you need any assistance implementing.

Only if it's enabled in the skin (it requires a skin bool set in order to work + show up in the default widgets), and only if the skin is using skinshortcuts GUI 312 or Just Select Widgets method - so unfortunately there is a little work Hitcher needs to do to enable it first
(Though if I ever get the time to polish my dev branch of smart(ish), I'll remove the enable-in-skin requirement if I can do so in a sensible way )

Apologies, nothing wrong with video source favourites opening correctly from home menu, it was when I added them to a widget.
