Yes, it is definitely different in Aeon Nox 5. Tested with switching between the two skins back and forth.

This is likely an issue with your backend but it should not effect Aeon Nox 5 cause the main menu is handled completely differently. I must ask that if you are using SiLVO then please post in my thread instead of here. That being said you can try deleting the Live TV menu item and creating a new custom one to see if your issue is solved by using a menu item that does not have a pre-defined visible conditions.

I managed to test it again, and this is an Aeon Nox Silvo specific behavior. If I switch to Aeon Nox 5, the Live TV item is always present on the main menu regardless the PVR client is connected or not to the backend. If the skin is changed to Silvo then Live TV item disappears if the PVR client has no connection.
I think the automatic hiding of the Live TV menu item is an unnecessary function and has no value. Nevertheless this is a minor problem.

I realized why this issue was not seen when I first tested your improvement.
Basically, I am using an xml EPG source. Due to a fault in Libreelec 8.2.0 the xml grab script was not working. When my PVR backend server was upgraded to LE 8.2.0 the xml source was not available anymore and the EPG fell back to OTA. The problem shown on the picture above comes with OTA EPG source.

Hello Mike, I don't know if this is a bug or by design.

If plot scrolling is enabled on VideoInfo sometimes the plot scrolling is starting with no delay - right away. I now set another value in dialogVideoInfo.xml for delay to avoid this but discovered that

        <autoscroll time="3000" delay="8000" repeat="5000">Skin.HasSetting(Enable.AutoScroll) + !Control.HasFocus(900171)</autoscroll>

if I enter a VideoInfo and right away exit and enter VideoInfo for another movie the delay is not reset. So it could start scrolling just after 2 seconds after opening VideoInfo. It keeps the countdown delay from the first VideoInfo I entered and doesn't reset it.

(if you have no quick reply box, you need to enable it in your user settings first)


edit: in case the above doesn't work, deleting all forum.kodi.tv cookies in your browser should fix it as well.

@moravec Seems like Kodi bug if the autoscroll delay isn't reset on window close, not sure what I can do about that if anything.

@efrister Has happened to me in the past after many changes to viewtype choice but deleting the ViewModes6.db file in you userdata (wiki)/Database folder fixes it for me. Will have to select the viewmode again for every content type but that seems like it is already happening so no harm in trying Wink

Just wondering if there's a way to choose a background from /storage/.kodi/addons/resource.images.skinbackgrounds.phenominence/resources. I only seem to be able to select /var/media. This is on an HTPC running LibreElec.

 Never mind, I figured it out. For anybody else who might be trying to figure this out: first add /storage/.kodi/addons as a source in File Manager, and then it'll show up in the list of locations to choose from in the skin options.
