1) Just silly as Arctic Zephyr uses the exact same animation other than it being a longer duration and less "movement". We are talking about 10 - 20 pixels here...
2) This is the first and only request for this. What do you want to see instead? Just a blank CD disc?
3) Screenshots please or at the very least tell me what skin and Kodi version you are using. Check Skin settings > Help for more Info.

1) Thanks for endulging me, I'm sorry I know these settings are probably your preferences, but I can't find the code in arctic zephyr and I find it quite different, maybe their pulse has a delay then? I can't seem to replicate the behaviour by tweaking your code though I'm not good at code. This is where I'm at now, if you could help with any suggestion on how it would resemble Zephyr's way or delay the pulse in some way I would really appreciate it:

Well, I haven't really given up yet. More like decided to leave the colors alone for now.

One thing I did notice that I would rather see instead of how it act now is this:

When you start a video, have the case open and the disc rolls out before playing the video. This could be annoying after awhile so have it as an open to turn off.
When the video is completed or stopped and you return to the skin, the disc would then roll back into the case and the case closes.

I think this would be more realistic for this view. I'm at work so I can't be more detailed, such as the view type, etc.

Hi Mike, how do get animated art to work? poster and fanart.
All animated gifs are downloaded into userdata\addon_data\script.module.metadatautils\animatedgifs but nothing happens on this skin. When I use for example Titan I see all these animated gifs working.
I have searched all settings but I can't find a setting that enable or disable animated gifs.

Still wondering if you can use the Dutch studio icons I sent you some time ago? Big Grin

And is there a way to automate the cache of the extra fanart? When adding new I have to add them manually now by hitting these two option cache movie and tv extrafanart. Or does it this already?

Dear Silvo,

I am hoping you could look into using the option of selecting backgrounds from the selected widgets ? As is the case of Madnox.
example : I select for my TV Shows widget 1 & widget 2. The items populating these widgets have their own backgrounds / fanarts. for the overall menu background selection there is an option to select widget 1 or widget 2 backgrounds.

As I am finding that selecting skin playlist in progress is not working as it should .

In regards to Live TV, I fully understand.. if I had a spare TV tuner, I will send it your way.
I will look further into this and if I make progress, will let you know.

I noticed another issue with video playback.. there is no Audio and subtitle setting screen when the main controls are brought up, to turn off subtitles, adjust audio delay (when not matching up to the video), set as permanent for all, etc...
While watching a movie, pressing the 'ok' button (or 'Enter' key), brings up on screen controls - but I cant seem to find the Audio and subtitle settings, whereas on other skins, this option is available, allowing me to turn on or off subtitles and make other minor adjustments...

I do know that there is a subtitle option from the main screen.. but when I select it, it tells me that local subtitles are available and no service is installed - I understand what this mean, but I cant turn on or off the subtitles in this screen for local subtitles (srt files).
I am also aware of the shortcut key (or possibility to program a button to toggle on/off subtitles) but, it does not permanently switch on or off the subtitle feature... together with that, I am also not able to adjust the audio delay or other quick options usually found in the audio and subtitle setting screen. Also noticed that video setting is also missing in the on screen controls for quick adjustment of video interlace, etc...
When the need arises to adjust these features, I have to change to another skin temporarily so that these settings can be changed.

Hey I installed my Kodi from scratch again, I installed the Aeon Nox Silvo from the Zip but I don't have a Aeon Nox Silvo folder in my program files to edit the Includes_Animations.xml, any way to get it back?

Maybe look in Kodi\addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo\16x9 folder for it.

I am designing my own build and look using this skin but I have hit a really frustrating problem.

I have changed the font used in the Main Menu - so far reasonably OK (and fun to do!). But I do not like my main menu items being all in capitalized letters. First letter is Uppercase rest is lowercase so "Movies" not "MOVIES" for example. Again very simple to do.

But this is the problem. Letter descenders get cut off. So for the main menu item "System" I lose a little bit of the bottom of the "y". I have tried changing font size, line spacing and aspect ratio. None of them really help. I think I need to increase the height of the main menu bar slightly but cannot find where that setting is amongst the hoard of xml files.

I suspect I will have the same problem with many other fonts as soon as I use lowercase letters with descenders, so changing the font completely may not help.

Has anyone else had the same problem and fixed it? If so how did you do it

Stupid Idea: When in doubt change the font!

However I would still like to know if anyone can explain how to change the main menu bar height. The reason is that the build is going on to a large TV and no everyone's eyesight who use that TV is good (or more accurately some, not me, don't put their glasses on!) and I would like to have a significantly bigger main menu bar

i didn't like the text on the disc while playing music either, so i edited the MusicVisualisation.xml in skin.aeon.nox.silvo\16x9:

So you can backup your MusicVisualisation.xml and blank/default disc.png,

Good day! Would anyone happen to know where in the xml settings where I can change the default menu from 5 items to 3 items directly without using skin shortcuts? I can change the horizontal to vertical easy enough in the xml but finding the location or id that changes from 5 items to 3 items directly in addons I was not able to find, Thank you for the help and sorry for the noob question.

The skin is not always handling the provided info from the addon “tv show - next aired” very well. When going through my series some times the info is right and than it just sticks at ended while the tv show is continuing. When I press F5 voor skin refresh the info is updated again to the right info.

In Titan skin this works al lot better.
Hope this cane be improved.
