RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - afremont - 2015-03-17 Thanks, I'm sorry. I flew through the message list trying to get caught up and didn't catch that. That does look quite a bit like what I'm getting now. Sorry to bother you about this. I'll try to stay caught up with the thread now, and I'll read the messages a little better too. LOL, I went and looked at the PR link you provided. I can see where that might be a problem. I can't help but wonder just how much that was actually tested. Edit: Oops, wrong character on the winkey. Offense not intended. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - zaphod24 - 2015-03-17 (2015-03-17, 11:35)Milhouse Wrote:(2015-03-17, 03:33)zaphod24 Wrote: That's a handy trick! Thanks! Will give tonight's build a shot. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - Psyduckap - 2015-03-17 Kodi stucks on first boot with a fresh install: Openelec screen appears, then kodi screen, and gets stuck on confluence background when is supposed to appear the installation wizard Last one working: #304 #307 and later stuck on confluence background and wizard doesn't appear. #307 log: http://pastebin.com/mpQczUPw #316 log: http://pastebin.com/u3xkEQcE If network cable is dettached on first boot, wizard appears and installs ok #307 with network cable dettached log: http://pastebin.com/LBhSrxHx If you need more data, please let me know. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - Milhouse - 2015-03-17 So it appears to be the wizard that is hanging... interesting. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - Milhouse - 2015-03-17 @Psyduckap - presumably you are using DHCP, and you are wired all the way to your router (no WiFi bridge etc.)? I've just used create_sdcard to create a new image using #0316, wired ethernet with DHCP, and it's working perfectly for me. I'm starting to think that OpenELEC Settings may be a red herring. Looking at your #0307 log (with cable), the primary thread which would go on to load the rest of the Confluence menu only gets as far as: Code: 17:44:19 32.006458 T:1968754688 DEBUG: Checking repositories for updates (triggered by Kodi Add-on repository) However in #0307 (without cable), it does this: Code: 00:00:31 31.176769 T:1968607232 DEBUG: Checking repositories for updates (triggered by Kodi Add-on repository) so when the cable is connected, it seems to be hanging while checking the Kodi addon repository. Disconnecting the cable presumably causes the addon repo update to fail so the thread doesn't hang and continues on to load the menu. This would point to an internet networking issue of some kind. Question: Are you Spanish? Just wondering about the es_es language errors in your logs, which I didn't get (I'm en_gb). I don't see any reference to LANG or language in create_sdcard so not sure where the es_es is coming from. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - Milhouse - 2015-03-17 New OpenELEC Isengard build #0317: RPi / RPi2 (Supercedes previous build) Code: # uname -a Based on tip of OpenELEC master (c482afb7, changelog) and tip of XBMC master (49bf2f68, changelog) with the following modifications:
RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - zaphod24 - 2015-03-18 Slightly different error (not missing fields this time) but Kodi is still crashing regularly with 0317. I even completely deleted the EPG database and restarted to let it build it from scratch. Crash log at http://sprunge.us/ZSGO RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - afremont - 2015-03-18 Same here with 317. I stopped ServerWMC, rebooted and then reset the PVR database. I had to hurry, because it would still crash from the residual data in the EPG within a minute or two of booting even with SWMC down. Once I reset the PVR database, it would stay up as long as I didn't let it reload the data (by keeping SWMC down). Here is crash log in case it helps. Looks like it might be the same as zaphod24 is getting. It's getting a SEGV at 0x00a96f38 same address as zaphod24. It doesn't say what module or anything, just (??). http://sprunge.us/SSJI If you want, I could try using the create_sdcard to start over from scratch, just in case there is some kind of corruption from the 316 crashes. EDIT: BTW, I was seeing some messages about a missing field 'syear' until I reset the PVR database. Those went away and stopped it from crashing even when SWMC wasn't running. Without my plugin, I can't do much other testing other than run the movie clip I downloaded (from another problem thread) a few days ago. It plays fine and sounds awesome in DolbyD passthrough. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - nickr - 2015-03-18 Re: 3D - is it still necessary for an MVC (in MKV) file to be named with '3D' in the name for this to work. I kinda hoped kodi would detect the file as MVC from its contents and take the right steps to play it as 3D but this does not appear to be the case. (Once set manually as SBS in kodi's OSD this is working very well with the samples from http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=211501&pid=1957073#pid1957073 Post 1145) RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - da-anda - 2015-03-18 @nickr - yes, I believe it's still required. AFAIK there is no logic yet that would look for MVC related metadata as this was of no use before. Code: 17:44:12 24.802971 T:1881142336 DEBUG: CecLogMessage - >> 0f:32:73:70:61 If It boots without network cable and the tv switched off, the wizard doesn´t appear, goes directly to confluence menus. At least on #315. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - Milhouse - 2015-03-18 @Psyduckap: It might be useful to test create_sdcard with a recent OpenELEC "official" nightly - this might help rule out/rule in any changes in this build. The nightly will have the latest OpenELEC Settings, but also the older Kodi 14.2, so if the problem goes away this might help narrow down Kodi or OpenELEC as the cause. RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - Milhouse - 2015-03-18 @zaphod24/@afremont: I think it might be worth obtaining a crash log from a debug build if possible, I'll upload RPi/RPi2 debug builds in 2-3 hours (building now...) RE: OpenELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 15.0) - vbaros - 2015-03-18 I just upgraded from pre-Isengard to a latest #0317 build. I have a problem with CEC which I didn't have before. On start Kodi tells me that no CEC devices are detected and if I wish to disable CEC. Which is weird as my remote is working and I can select Yes or No on the input dialog. It doesn't matter if I select Yes or No the remote stops working when Kodi fully loads. I have a Rpi 1 connected to an Onkyo reciever and I'm using Onkyo remote to control Rpi.
