RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - SaEt9000 - 2015-02-16 I'm not 100% sure but i saw a merge - requested by koying for mediacodec - last night for kodi 15 alpha. So it should be implemented from newest nightly build. @ koying: I see, that you are very busy at the moment (mediacodec, SPMC ...) .. did you had time in between for a autodetection or advanced-settings solution for BOB-deinterlacing? SaEt9000 RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - Memphiz - 2015-02-16 Funny - you see he is busy but bother him with this question anyway. There is no point in telling someone that you know he is busy when you in the same sentence increase his business. RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - weak - 2015-02-16 Does anyone know if deinterlacing is included in the 14.2 testbuild? I don't want to switch to SPMC and I'm kind of tired to install new builds just to have to downgrade afterwards. But because the high count of of developers activities it is sometimes really difficult to follow all your activities. I asked koying, because we discussed this topic here in this thread some days or weeks ago and I am not sure, whether i missed some informations. I think feedback of "users" is important for your work as well ... And I would like to do my part to support the developers in there work. SaEt9000 RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - Memphiz - 2015-02-17 You can follow our development activities on our github accounts if you are really interested in what we are working on at each day. https://github.com/koying?tab=activity <- busy https://github.com/Memphiz?tab=activity <- busy RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - Sektor_40 - 2015-02-18 Using the feb 17 nightly build and it works great with Live TV :-) I'm using the Serverwmc addon with default settings as a backend. No stuttering, very smooth. My only issue was that my recording started to stutter 35-40 mins in, but it looked more like a buffering issue. Awesome work! Normally i looked on github on all xbmc-activities. And - yes - i'm really interested in what you are working on. SaEt9000 RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - Sektor_40 - 2015-02-21 I've played around some more, and I do notice some stuttering. However, it's only for live events (news) or select show (ie: Days of our Lives). It probably has something to do with different frame rates. I know that the TV feeds are all broadcasted in 1080i, but the show are filmed in different formats. Maybe this affects deinterlacing? If I watch a show like Chicago Fire, I have no issues. I'm currently using a Nexus Player, perhaps the hardware has difficulties with this? RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - wizzo - 2015-03-06 Hi @ll, just a question in between. I´m runnign a fire TV and updated Kodi to the 15 Alpha. I like the deinterlacing working nicely now. But I can´t watch any HD live tv withou getting a "buffering" after a couple of minutes. So live TV is actually not usable. according to the thread it is not really common. I´m runnign the recording Service latest Version on a dedicated Server. All is Gigabit so no WLAN involved. Running Video files from the serve is n Problem at all, so ist just live TV. I´m using the latest DVB Viewer plugin vor Kodi Version 1.9.28. Is there seomthing I Need to inject into the advancedsettings do get rid of that? RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - bibi - 2015-03-17 Hi Koying, Works great, thanks! Bibi RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - sdbyrd - 2015-03-18 I can no longer hit the link posted to the latest build. Is the site down or did the link get removed? RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - SaEt9000 - 2015-03-29 If someone else is still waiting for a pre-settings option or a auto-function for BOB-Deinterlace: I tried successfully a workaround by setting Video-Parameters as SQL-commands by direct accessing the kodi-datase So if you are a little bit familiar with SQL statements you can try this: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=222428 This helps you to set Videosettings for a whole season or serial without editing every episode. For me does it work. SaET9000 Experimental simple deinterlacing - tredman - 2015-04-06 Does anyone else see odd bouncing on red colours when using deinterlacing? Using bob inverted on a fire TV, everything else is perfect - its just reds look odd, especially on fast moving videos like sports. RE: Experimental simple deinterlacing - wrxtasy - 2015-05-01 Questions for Amazon Fire TV owners about the status of Bob DeInterlacing: 1) Does this work with HD and SD content ? 2) Hardware acceleration On or Off ? 3) Does mpeg2 and deinterlacing work properly together ?
