RE: [RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video (US/UK/DE) - AlmostSerious - 2015-03-25

Does anybody know if its possible to trick Amazon into giving us the 5.1 Sound as well as the optional languages?

I dont think this is possible. It wouldn't be too convenient either since the content changes constantly.
For shows you can add seasons though instead of episodes.

I don't know about Europe Amazon, but for US Amazon, 5.1 is not a available via the rtmp package. It is restricted to silverlight (for PCs) and various "set-top", dongle, and embedded-TV systems. Unlike netflix, US Amazon encrypts the silverlight 5.1 audio streams. The hurdle with silverlight being the private key. Silverlight probably wouldn't be practical for real-time decryption on the varied kodi hardware. Although I don't know if anyone has even tried.

So how about we all send the dev $10 or so?

It would definitely be worth it for me to get some of the fixable issues working.

My problem is that suddenly my login fails... Not sure what's causing the problem, works fine in the browser, but not through this app.

Is the code in GitHub or similar?

Cheers,
Dan.

Add-on appears to install and connect however it will not accept my Amazon login and password? When I normally login to Amazon, there is a CAPTCHA box so how is anyone able to login?

RE: [RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video (US/UK/DE) - MinoMe - 2015-03-30

I have never ever seen CAPTCHA on amazon.

As I understood, the FireTV is using rtmp as well? And on FireTV there is 5.1.

(warning: total newbie on kodi typing here)

I'm excited about seeing Prime on kodi, but prime won't accept my login and password either from the add-on.
Wife says she never sees captcha signing in to Amazon from her desktop.

RE: [RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video (US/UK/DE) - mr3p - 2015-03-31

Going back to regular webpage to login to my Amazon account, I only see CAPTCHA when I go into account settting, not just logging into site. That being said, the Amazon login/password which work fine with Chrome browser, do not allow me to login with this add-on as I get the error message in lower right corner, "You are not logged in! Check your credentials and restart the add-on..."

I had the same error log. Amazon Addon is working again after an apt-get install rtmp* for me

RE: [RELEASE] Amazon Prime Instant Video (US/UK/DE) - cyked - 2015-04-01

What exactly does the new default.py fix?

I too have issues playing certain things. Sometimes I get the ding and error, other times nothing happens on screen when playing a TV show/movie, bu in the logs I see "rtmp server sent error" regardless.

Same issue here, apt-get install rtmp* does the job... Thanks for this!
