Has something changed regarding script.skin.helper.service and animated posters?
I'm using Eastuary MOD as skin which has Animated posters support but when i enable it nothing happens, it worked perfect approximately 1 month ago.

It should still work. Any errors or warnings in your Kodi log ?

I checked the logging several times and at 1 point i deleted all gifs to start clean again.
I also checked some old logging and only found 1 line related to animated gifs in it.
13:43:57 67610.648438 T:140004598048832 ERROR: Texture manager unable to load file: special://thumbnails/animatedgifs/tt0803096_poster.gif
Should i delete Textures*.db maybe?
Could not find any cache file or something that stopped the download of gifs.
/EDIT:
It looks like deleting Textures*.db did the trick.

I would love to see a video capture of the process for completing these type of posters, as I would like to help the cause , so to speak.
I've seen a few on this thread but not on movie posters specifically.
