Anyone running Simple.tv within or alongside Kodi? - ZippyTheChicken - 2015-01-25 I am looking for the best option to watch live tv over a Simple.TV device If you own one could you explain your setup. Having just bought one used at a real deep discount (hope it works) and not received it yet I don't know much else about it at this time .. it is suppose to work with chromecast roku plex and web. I do know they are not the same as a silicon dust network tuners. At this point I do not have devices at my TVs (roku chromecast .. ) since I am still transitioning from Cable to OTA and still have basic cable on the tvs. My home isn't wired with cat5... I have a wifi router but its pretty weak and slow. I also have a pretty good archive of tv shows in MP4 format that I have been capturing with a TV Card. The Archive is saved on an external drive hooked to my desktop computer. I will want to access that from my TVs through a windows share along with the live ota tv from the simple.tv Need something really easy to use.. older relatives in the home who do not use computers. Although I might just setup OTA for them and have the other stuff for myself.. either way needs to be easy and real cheap. thanks a lot.
