RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - fritsch - 2015-05-31 He does sw decoding in the above images I assume and his "underpowered" AMD cpu cannot really do decoding h264 on the cpu alone. That's the difference between this version and the nightly verisons, it sticks at 50fps or 60fps throughout with CPU at 5-10%. That's why I mentioned it Edit: fritsch beat me to it. RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - afedchin - 2015-05-31 @Piers, One more qualification. dx9 version (nightly verisons) sticks at 50fps or 60fps whereas dx11 has a performance like at screenshots above. I understand you correctly? Do you have this on Win10 only or same issue occurs on other versions of Windows? RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - Gamblah - 2015-06-01 @afedchin You found it. I did some more testing with scaling. Primary 100% Secondary 100% = Working fine on both Primary 125% Secondary 100% = Full screen on both monitors but task bar showing on top of Kodi if activated. Primary 125% Secondary 125% = Working fine on both Primary 150% Secondary 100% = Messed up setting Primary 150% Secondary 125% - Full screen on both monitors but task bar showing on top of Kodi if activated. Primary 150% Secondary 150% - Working fine on both Unfortunately I don't have any win 8 or 8.1 installations at this time but will see if I can do a installation of one of my drives to test scaling out. Windows 7 worked fine with this monitor setup but had to run at 150% on both monitors as it did not support independent scaling. For Windows 10 at this time I will run primary at 150% and secondary at 125% and live with the "larger" setting on the secondary monitor. RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - afedchin - 2015-06-01 @Piers As I could see you are using xperience1080 skin. Could you enable RSS Feed and try again? Let's me explain. RSS Feed causes update GUI at max rate because it updates GUI every frame. Whereas for lack of GUI updates causes dropping FPS. Current nighties has same behavior. This is especially evident on the last screen because there are no GUI updates. @Gamblah Thank you for your diggings. I'll take a look at this when I'll have time enough. RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - afedchin - 2015-06-02 New build: Fixed:
Download link at the first post. There is new screensaver addon Shadertoy Screensavers especially developed for dx11 version and can be downloaded at https://github.com/afedchin/screensaver.shadertoy/releases @Piers Please, test the new build to color space issue? RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - afedchin - 2015-06-02 @Piers - very VERY rarely. RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - kricker - 2015-06-02 I played content with the June 2 build and compared it to the latest master nightly. Colors were identical on my Nvidia GTX750ti. Renderer was set to "auto" and DXVA2 was enabled. General performance seems to be as good as the main master for me. If there is something specifc that needs testing let me know. I'll be happy to do it. RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - afedchin - 2015-06-02 @kricker Thanks for helping. It would be nice if you test the match refresh rate with video setting in true fullscreen mode.especially for 23.967 fps. RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - kricker - 2015-06-02 I did test in true fullscreen, but to be honest, I am not sure exactly how match refresh is supposed to work. I did play some 23.976 fps when testing the colors. The video info window showed it was playing at 23.976 (actually 23.81 to 24.04 or somewhere in between at times), but I do not know how to check my TV/monitor to see if it really switches to that. When I use the setting "Adjust display refresh rate", it doesn't look any different than when I don't use it. Same with "Sync playback to display." RE: Windows DirectX 11 upgrade test thread - Martijn - 2015-06-03 On my Dell Inspiron Duo it crashes with 2 June build Zip with crashlogs+dump+Debug Log https://www.dropbox.com/s/v6hkafalqr5um8r/Kodi-dx11-crash.zip?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/a8oy1wwdj9dalf3/kodi-dx11-crash-debug.log?dl=0 It just keeps creating the dmp files and i have no picture on start Edit: master build starts without problems |
