Would this allows me to easily transfer from external USB to the sheild internal drive? Many thanks

Just a thought probable not the right place to post but has anyone got a mame emulator running on this and have kodi used as a romantic selector?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to map the buttons of the original remote with different keys?
unfortunately the remote has just a few buttons Sad

http://addons.kodi.tv/show/script.keymap/

But it's going to be limited as to what you can do just because the remote does have very few buttons.

Is there any review showing how does shield tv is with 4k content, including hvec and 10bit? I need just to use with kodi.

All serious bugs are fixed? Do you think this is a future proof player?
I'm buying thinking to play future uhd bluray rips.

Damn, I'm like 10 days after buying one, anyone know if amazon will do anything for this after the fact?

According to Pocket-Lint, Nvidia are now including the remote in the £149.00 UK bundle.

Yup, available with free remote here.... http://shield.nvidia.co.uk/store/android-tv

Quite tempted with one of these for the bedroom TV. Does anyone think Android TV will ever get Amazon Prime?

Nope. Amazon has removed Apple TV and Google Nexus Player from their store, and would prefer you use Fire TV to access Amazon video/Prime & be locked into their ecosystem (not Apple's or Google's).

But, there are two ways you can watch Amazon video on Shield TV:
  1. Use the tablet version of Amazon's app (requires mouse) (haven't tried it out myself)
  2. Use this Amazon add-on via Kodi

Cheers for the links, neither will pass the WAF unfortunately Smile I might just get a cheap Fire stick for Prime

Amazon do still sell the Shield though, and have recently created a Roku app, maybe they're backing down...

And, that's exactly what Amazon and Apple want; use their walled gardens to have the easiest, best experiences on their devices only.

They have a 30 day price match policy, open up a chat with them to get a refund of the difference.
