Shield is an awesome device to have. Not just for Kodi, which by the way works best for an android device, but other features as well.

I went to Best Buy last weekend and I did not expect to see it being sold there. I thought it was only being sold online. I had ordered online mine as soon as it got out and it has worked flawlessly for me since then.

I am thinking about buying the Pro version for a different room soon.

Hello all.... Is there any info on using a FTV 2 voice remote on the shield. I think I remember some issue with the voice part not working correct.
I just paired one and everything is working so far

Not really since Nvidia has stated that it will be rolling out this month.

An educated guess though, is that it will start around the same time as the release of Metal Gear which is slated for release on Thurs.

Mine arrived, didn't have time to play with it extensively, but first impressions are good, very quick machine, 1080p 10bit files play smoothly, at first the blacks looked washed out, but changing the HDMI range from Full to Normal correct it, now they look too black, lol, had to change the gamma from 2.4 to 2.2.

Before any confusion, h264 10bits is s/w decoded on all androids. Just that the Shield is so powerful you won't notice Wink

these were 10bit 1080p H265 files on Kodi

Tinwarble can you help me answer this above?

RE: NVIDIA Shield (Android TV set-top box) - HCarvalho - 2016-01-06

nVidia on upcoming updates here; nothing new beyond above link, but interesting read nonetheless.

In the comments section, I'm again pushing them to add 3D MVC support... hope you guys post there as well.
