RE: Trakt.tv v3 - sim099 - 2019-05-22

I've realised that I need to have debug logging enabled in Kodi for the trakt debug information to be output and found some information that may come in handy.

There's a line similar to this one for each of the shows that isn't synchronizing as expected:
Quote:019-05-22 19:19:09.749 T:7176   DEBUG: [script.trakt] resources.lib.syncEpisodes: [Episodes Sync] Episodes added: Labyrinth (2012) [tvdb: No id] - S01E01, S01E02

Could the issue be caused by the lack of tvdbid?

Where would Kodi/the trakt plugin be looking for that id?

I initially assumed that it would be the nfo file for the tv show, but I've checked a few of them and they do include ids. This is what I think is the relevant section from the nfo file for Labyrinth:
Quote:<tvshow>
...
  <id>261111</id>
  <uniqueid type="tvdb" default="true">261111</uniqueid>
  <uniqueid type="imdb">tt1866570</uniqueid>
...
</tvshow>

Yes...

I'll take a look what nfos exist for those shows and update the information.

Knowing myself, ill probably also take a copy of the existing nfo files and compare them after updating to see if I can work out what caused the issue... assuming they re-appear in trakt after syncing again, that is.

Let me know if you were going to suggest something else. I dont mind testing something if you'd like me to. I'm just on my way to work so there's gonna be at least 8 hours before I can try my idea.
I suggest that you read above.

And "relevant sections" from files always miss context...

I've read the previous posts where the issue was fixed by adding some missing tags to the nfo files, i.e.

Try adding this to your movie nfo (with your correct ids obviously):
Quote:<uniqueid type="imdb" default="true">tt0212720</uniqueid>
<uniqueid type="tmdb">644</uniqueid>

My tvshow.nfo file I posted the "relevant sections" from earlier alreday contains uniqueid tags; one of type tvdb and one of type imdb. I assume the tvdb id is used in place of the tmdb id when it comes to tv shows, so wouldn't that be everything covered?

The onther reason that I wouldn't really expet the issue with these shows is that I have a number of other tv shows that are synchronizing fine. All of the nfos were generated by the same software and have the same format, which only includes the two uniqueid tags.

Regarding the "relevant sections", I just didn't want (or have time) to post nfo files to pastebin and link them here. I don't mind doing so if that would help - just let me know which ones you'd want to see.

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - in10se_ - 2019-05-26

@Razze

I have sometimes same episodes in different languages:

The Smurfs\Season 01 (Ger)\The Smurfs S01x01
The Smurfs\Season 01 (Eng)\The Smurfs S01x01

In kodi it marks only one as seen, not both. How is it possible that Trakt marks both as watched without having a play count of 2 of the episode?

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - cemmec - 2019-05-31

Hi,

Is there any problem with this add-on? A few days ago everything was ok, but now, Kodi is not scrobbling and synchronizing anything with trakt.

I found this on kodi.log:

2019-05-31 18:41:36.299 T:9132 WARNING: [script.trakt] trakt.interfaces.base: Request failed: "POST /scrobble/start" - 404: "Method exists, but no record found" (Not Found)

Thanks

Works fine over here, probably just an id not matching.

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - sim099 - 2019-06-05

Where would the ids used originate from so we can check?

I think you were basically saying that they'd come from the nfo files for me, but they exist in the nfos...

if you use nfo, read back a bit. the format changed, and the ids need to be moved.

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - lgoodkni - 2019-06-09

I have used Trakt tv and KODI for several years with great success. I am on Nvidia shield KODI 18.2. When I go to a trakt tv list all is correct until I select a show and return to list. The second time I go to list all are marked as unwatched. Does not do this in 17.6 KODI.

Apologies for releating myself here, but I'm pretty sure that I've already checked the nfo files are correct.

This appears to be the suggesting that you're referring to:

Try adding this to your movie nfo (with your correct ids obviously):
Quote:<uniqueid type="imdb" default="true">tt0212720</uniqueid>
<uniqueid type="tmdb">644</uniqueid>
I've picked four series; two of which are having trouble synchronizing and the other two are synchronizing without issue.

I've checked the nfo for each of them and they all contain the following tags, only with the appropriate ids for the series in question:
Quote:<id>349272</id>
<uniqueid type="tvdb" default="true">349272</uniqueid>
<uniqueid type="imdb">tt7817340</uniqueid>
This matches the tags that you suggested, only substituting the imdb id for the tvdbid which I would assume is correct when considering a tv series over a movie. If there was definitely a problem with missing information, then I would have expected the same result from attempting to synchronize all four of them.

I've posted the four nfo files to pastebin so you can take a look:
New Amsterdam (2018) - not synchronizing
The Tick - not synchronizing
Good Omens - fine
Elementary - fine

I also taken the tvdbid from each of the nfos and searched for it at thetvdb.com to make sure that the expected series was found, just in case something had been changed their end... but they all came back as expected.

Let me know if there's something I've missed and I'll try it, or if any further information/logs/etc would help and I'll provide it asap.

Thanks.

@sim099
Can you create a test nfo with https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=129134&pid=2859940#pid2859940 as that should generate the needed nfo values or scrap and reexport from kodi. That will also generate the fields.

I have the same issue. Downgrading the addon from version 3.2.4 to version 3.2.0 fixed it for me (running Kodi 18.2 on Ubuntu 18.10).

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - Tobby - 2019-06-16

Hi. Whenever I use the trakt syncronization posters start blinkning and the screen goes dark and says "please wait" and shows the loading wheel several times a few seconds apart. It has done this for years on multiple hardware setups so I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong? Is everyone else experiencing this or is it just me?
