I had previously commented that some new movies that I added to my library were not getting picked up by the trakt sync. I have figured out that the problem is new movies with the same title as other movies are not being synced correctly. For example, Dumbo, Aladdin, Casino Royale, The Mummy, and so on. Importantly, this wasn't an issue with the original trakt/library linking. Only for new movies added after the initial sync. It isn't a huge issue now that I can easily identify which movies were not added, but I figured I would mention it in case someone else runs into the problem.

Thnks. The problem was that, the trakt plugin somehow synced the same shows over and over again. At the end, I had millions of views in trakt, hence the error. The trakt support deleted the views of faulty shows and I deleted the same shows in kodi and added them again.

Is there a solution for this? It's happening to me, it's so annoying. I can't find a way to solve it. It keeps messing with the rating/view state of both the old and the new movie not just in Kodi but also in trakt.
Examples: The Getaway (two films), Whiplash (film and short film), November (several films).

I do not know of a solution other than manually adding duplicate names. But try making a log of issue and submit it on the github. It was asked for when I brought it up there, but I never got around to getting one.

Yes. See my TheMovieDb Helper addon. It shows lists from TMDb and Trakt.

Guys I need help with the trakt addon in my kodi setup.
My library has mixed contents of local video and strm files (exported from VOD addons like Netflix, Amazon, ...).
I have installed some other video addons to watch online content.
Is it possible to exclude the other video addons, but to scrobble episodes and movies from VOD Addons?
Excluding http stops scrobbling any addon content. Local files work of course.
And how does "exclude plugins" work?
Any help?

Hi guys, first time here. I have Vero 4k+ and just installed OSMC version 11-1 with KODI 18.5. I've been using apple tv for the past few weeks and before that trakt addon worked fine with Kodi. Today, after I installed a new update, trakt can scrobble what i'm watching and will mark it as watched after (on kodi and trakt.tv web), but the sync is not working? I tried reinstalling the addon, manually started it many times, but I can't get movies and tv shows to sync with trakt. All in my Kodi library is unwatched (except newly watched stuff, from today). What can be wrong here? How can I force sync with trakt database. Thanks!

Today Kodi has not updated watched status to trakt at all, debug log shows no errors either. Perhaps a problem on the website?

Hi, I have two nVidia Shield TV devices, both are completely up to date and run KODI 18.5 with Trakt.tv 3.2.4, but one of them won't start syncing Trakt.tv when I launch KODI and it does a library update.
I have the Sync collection on library update or clean enabled, but it won't start automatically.
All settings of the Trakt.tv 3.2.4 addon are exactly the same, only difference is the one that doesn't start the sync automatically is connected by network cable instead of Wi-Fi.
Any pointers on how to fix that?
