So you unwatch -> then watch and send it to trakt. It was 1 watch before you did anything and is now 1 watch again. So there is no change. Unfortunatly the kodi database only tracks amount of plays (1,2,3,4,...) and date of last watch.

Hi
after upgrading to Kodi 19 (RC1), I've noticed an issue with Trakt addon version 3.3.2.
By starting the addon, it tries to load my Kodi movie-selection for synchronization and freezes in that task.
This issue is present on severeal systems, after switching from Kodi Leia to Kodi 19 RC1 (Win 10 PC, Libreelec PC, FireTV 4k).
Any chance to get this fixed?

Thank f*** someone is having this issue too. Just updated to the latest libreelec nightly with kodi 19rc and the issue you describe is also occurring for me. Hangs at the movies from kodi sync (thought it was something wrong my end, too many bleedin addons disabled on update and had to be manually updated. Trakt still hung, so I wiped the system, a fresh install and the trakt addon hangs

Right, looks like it was a fault caused by me.
I started from scratch, including adding hdd sources
rescraped using the new scrapers and it looks like trakt info is updating and saying whats watched and whats not, will see how if this changes the issue I had earlier after i've updated everything.
Edit: Ignore all that. the addon itself, while it still scrobbles as you watch, will hang on the "loading movies from kodi" bit during Synchronize Movies.

I wonder if the movie issue has to do with the information scraper? (currently on matrix and using The Movie Database Python scaper.) I really do not want to have to rescrape all my movies again. I thought having a nfo file (created by kodi when exporting library to separate files) in each folder would safe me having to correct any issues further down the line. (I don't know if you can force a scrape to bulk ignore local nfo files, if you can, please point me to it.)
I removed my movie source, and had kodi rescan for new content (tv programmes.) when finished a few minutes later the trakt addon did it's thing and synced my progress on what local files have been watched as per trakt.

My new favourite bit of code is

find . -type f -name "*.nfo" -deleteremoved all the old .nfo files
removed movie source, readded movie source and selected MovieDB Python scraper.
Let it run for a bit, stopped it.
And successfully ran the trakt addon, no more getting stuck on the synchronize movies bit at the start.

That would refer to the unique code error in your database. Remove all pre-matrix nfo's a scan again. (Yes, it's a pain, but you'll be able to correct some overlooked errors in your media collection that you may not realise you have.)

99.5% of my nfo's have a unique ID.
This is NOT new requirement with Kodi 19. This was introduced with Kodi 17 already.
What about the couple of files, which do not have a unique ID, because they are not listed in IMDB, TMDB...?
Matrix can handle this easily without any issue.
Trakt do not have a fallback-solution for these cases (anymore)?
But as mentioned....if this is declared as wanted behaviour by the dev's I will just simply walk away from this addon. That's ok. It is for free, so I cannot and will not complain.

Short answer, yes delete them. and rescan. I can assure you you will have errors in your existing filenames (6000-7000 files all being perfectly names for a scanner is, while not exactly impossible, is highly improbable.)
You can catch which shows or movies are not matching be looking at your log in tmp. (use search query "won't be added to library")

I can assure you, every single nfo in my collection is in perfect condition.
There is not a single file, which is not added to my library.
Everything is managed in Ember Media Manager since many years.
