RE: Trakt.tv v3 - Romek_original - 2021-03-27

Finally it worked now for me after like 20+ reinstalls with different setups/backups etc. I even tried to setup emby, but thats kinda annoying.

What finally fixed this issue for me was rescraping + cleaning my complete tv-shows with TMM and cleaning through all of them manually too.
Some had "sample" files, random forced.str, old useless nfo's. I cleaned them all and now trakt goes through like butter.

and i delete 2-3 shows which had like 6 episodes (from TV) but on TVDB they had only 3 - they splitted each show on TV.

Ok I did a fresh 'appdata/roaming/kodi' folder and basically the only add-on I have installed with my library is Trakt.tv addon.  It is still getting stuck at "Parsing 233 of 545 episode data from Kodi" but I was able to get a log and paste at the paste.kodi.tv successfully.  If there is something else that is needed please let me know and I will try to assist.  This started happening with Kodi 19, I was able to sync fine in the last Kodi 18 version.  Here is the log: https://paste.kodi.tv/tolupagope.kodi

I so I removed all my NFO files from my TV directory and when I try to do a manual trakt update still getting stuck at 233 of 545 episodes.  I have zero idea how to solve this problem but something Trakt doesn't like in my library since I upgraded to Kodi 19.

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - Razze - 2021-03-28

Did you also rescrape?

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - ElSpaldo - 2021-03-29

Firstly, thanks to @Razze for the addon. I use it on all my Kodi's and appreciate the work.

So, on one of my Nvidia Shield's, it has automatically updated to 19 Matrix and the Trakt addon stopped working and wouldn't update itself. I searched the last 10 pages of this thread and couldn't see any fix. So for those in my situation, this is what I did:

- Go into addons -> my addons & uninstall Trakt.
- Stay in my addons -> go into each addon that needs updates, press info and manually update each one
- Reinstall Trakt & configure.

Hopefully that helps anyone, it was the only thing that fixed it for me

I can give it a try to see what it does.

Cleared my TV library and recreated it using the TMDb TV Shows scraper.  After recreating the library and then doing a trakt scan it completed successfully.  Thanks for suggestion @Razze

After I removed those TV Shows from my Library, Trakt sync completed. (and after that my Kodi crashed on startup, but that is a different issue.

ok, i may try to temporarily remove or at least rename one of the tvshow.nfo file
coz i made an NFO file from TMM for Brainy Baby. this is tv series in tvdb but it is under movies  in themoviedb.

hope it works.

You could also just recreate all your nfo files with a recent version of TMM

i was able to fix my issue by doing this:
1) deleted the "myvideoxxx" & "mymusicxxx" database
2) deleted all the tvshows NFO's
3) rescanned my whole library (using the new TMDB scrapers for movies & tv shows)

after that, I was able to sync trakt again.

The latest update seemed to have fixed my problem, shows are now scrobbling again! Thanks to all involved in pushing this update Smile

RE: Trakt.tv v3 - AgitoM - 2021-04-05

Tried installing and syncing the Trakt plugin again today. This after having read about an update with some fixes.
My problem still persists. After the initial sync cycle, Kodi is rendered useless by crashing on startup.

Here is the log file from the crash after my initial Leia to Matrix upgrade:
https://paste.kodi.tv/buxafebase.kodi

The same problem (crash after 10 - 15 seconds during startup) occurred having done a completely clean Matrix installation after I did a full sync using the Trakt plugin.
Should you wish to have a more recent crash log with the clean Matrix installation let me know. I'll make it.
(It will involve crippling and restoring my installation again)

I'm not seeing any problems in that log, so there's not much we can do I think. Best would also be a crash log (which is a different log)

Will provide you with a crashlog if you like, if you can tell me which log it is, and how I can provide it to you. :-)

Your log doesn't show an error. But you also seem to have not set it up correctly, see the first post on how to do that.

If that's the latest (2.8.1) you might want to create an issue at https://github.com/dateutil/dateutil

Confirmed. It's version 2.8.1. I'll open an issue on their github page. Thanks for checking Razzee.

Dan / Gib.

@Razze,

Turns out the root cause of this issue isn't the dateutil python module. I was somewhat suspicious of it being the case, since no one else had posted similar errors in their logs in this thread so far as I could tell. So I decided to do a bit more digging (with a Google search, using one of the error messages from the log, for good measure), and I found this:

https://github.com/trakt/script.trakt/issues/238

Following the advice given to the issue's OP, I checked my Trakt account. Turns out, there were 4 movies and one TV show with a last playback history date of "1st January, 1970". Clearing this and assigning more reasonable scrobble dates (current date/time), and then re-running Kodi plus a manual sync it appears as if the issue has disappeared. I'm guessing at 7 years old, the CMOS battery in the HTPC is probably on the wane, which would make sense since I had the thing in bits recently to swap out a HDD for a larger capacity one.

So I assume you never got around to mitigating this as suggested to the original OP back when the issue was highlighted back in 2015. Either way, Now I know what causes the errors in the log snippets I posted here and here, I'll be able to work around the issue should it arise again.

Dan / Gib.

Everything is setup correctly by your guide..
When i run the script, it starts and run through 160 of my series, and suddenly just stops. and do nothing more..
And yes can't see anything usefull in the log.
