Hi Everyone:
I am having some problems with the Trakt Kodi Addon as of late. I really hope someone can help me troubleshoot here as it's become very annoying. I have 2 issues, one major and one minor.
Issue 1:
Trakt/Kodi don't seem to be speaking with each other consistently. Example:
When I watch a show in KODI ( Local Library Content) it will be marked as watched in kodi...and on trakt.tv web site. However if a higher quality version of that SAME episode is imported ( The original one replaced) the watched status doesn't stick and the system now think's it is not watched. Sometimes if I go into the settings for trakt and force the update/scrobble it will apply the correct watch status.
Issue 2:
On the Trakt Dashboard, when I watch a show...sometimes it shows up 2x or 3x...see example here http://i.imgur.com/CJVG8BG.png
Any help would be great...especially the first issue as I cant keep track of what I have watched and haven't without it.

We'll issue 1 is expected, as you replace the file. It's not exactly a problem of the trakt addon to handle that. Syncing from settings should always fix it.
Issue 2 seems to be unlikely can you confirm, that you only have Trakt for Kodi setup here?

In regards to authorization, there are 2 ...trakt for kodi ( tie fighter icon) and SALTS ( a 3rd party xbmc plugin i rarely use)
back to the first issue, my big one, is there a way to automate the sync from settings? Trakt USED to always carry forward my watched statuses....trakt knows i watched S5E8 of a series, so shouldnt it ALWAYS be watched in kodi...even if I replace the file with a different verison/quality...it's still S5E8. This was never a problem until that time when Trakt broke for xbmc big time...but then got fixed. this was maybe 6-8 months ago?
Sometimes though I feel like KODI updates trakt like I was POSITIVE I watched a certain episode...but when it came back as new and i checked trakt....no record in trakt of it being watched....is that possible? kodi would change a watched show back to unwatched in trakt?

Just activate "Sync collection on library update or cleaning" in the settings, that way when you scan for the new episode, trakt should pick it up.

Just pushed another hotfix release, as tv show ratings sync has had some problems.
So newest version is 3.1.1

I just noticed that none of my Kodi devices shows the "sync tv shows complete" notification since I'm on Jarvis with Trakt 3.1.0 but I'm not sure if the addon does complete tv shows sync yes or no. Is this fixed in 3.1.1?

its a few thousand titles and episodes so im assuming its too big and crashes

Today I installed Trakt add-on without any obvious errors other than I never saw any request for a PIN number but did enter the same login/password used for my Trakt account that was set up this morning.
I keep getting a KODI "incorrect login/password" type message while viewing a show. I verified that the information is identical with my Trakt account and even did a copy/past right from my KeePass program to assure I made no typos. On the web the KeePass entry works perfectly with Trakt but again not with KODI.

Probably, a sideeffect of the bug in 3.1.0 was that the sync got stuck.

If you get a question for a password, your using another addon or an version from two years ago. This one uses PIN auth only and we will move to device outh soon.

Thanks that is what happened. I somehow got an older version. The current one works correctly.
