Hopefully @afedchin is working on his next MVC build. Looks like recent activity was 2 weeks ago.

Got a Inspiron 3050 up and running to replace my Mede8er.

On that skin mentioned, are all those extra add-ons required to get the 3D movie only library. Apart from the regular functionality of the skin, that's the only other thing I'm interested in.

What Skin?
And No extra Add-Ons are required to get 3D MVC working.

I know you don't need extra add-ons for mvc but I want the 3D films only movie wall like in the settings setup photo slide.

You have to create a SMART PLAYLIST for your 3D movies.

Previously I used a SAMSUNG UN55C8000 and the build worked fine. I am simply rebooting and swapping the HDMI cable between the two. The 1080 display works, the 2160 does not.
At any rate, an external player works perfectly on both so I'm ruling out display incompatibility and leaning towards code update if that is still being maintained or even monitored.

Thought other 4k users using this build might chime in.
OK. I will be getting a nVIDIA GTX 1060 next week. I will check this out on my TV which is also a Samsung JS8500.

@wesk05

Any luck?

Sorry! forgot to post an update. I wasn't even able to get it to play in 3D (TAB). I checked the settings and couldn't find what I overlooked. I gave up after a while Angry

Liking Artic skin w/Kodi 17... has ATMOS/X and 3D flags, and skin is very configurable.

After owning a 4K HDR TV with Vudu(Dolby Vision)/Xbox One S and a few UHD Blu-rays, I am not that impressed with 4K movies, demo materials looks very good but not UHD Blu-rays,comparing a Blu-ray and UHD Bluray on the same display with the same player, it is hard to notice a significance much of a difference, this is why I am sticking with 3DCool

RE: Kodi Player Options with MVC/frame-packed 3D & HD Audio - hdmkv - 2016-09-06

Need a bigger display to really appreciate 4K... a projector and decent size screen. Was about to buy the new Epson 5040UB PJ, but holding off. For one, it's $3K (for me to mildly upgrade over 5025UB), resolution w/eShift 4K is really closer to 2K, and I'm reading it's too dim with HDR content.

RE: Kodi Player Options with MVC/frame-packed 3D & HD Audio - movie78 - 2016-09-06

Was also looking into the 5040UB, but I think I am going to hold off to see what get annonce at CEDIA,hopefully, we will see some 4K/3D DLP Projectors under $3K

I thought you got the Samsung JS8500 UHD TV. Your Samsung JS9000 UHD TV doesn't support Dolby Vision.

You are not going to see any native 4K projector for under $3K.
