Thanks movie78, I am considering also the Intel Nuc Skull Canyon with a combo rear speaker/TOSLINK jack, so I'll use it as mediaplayer with Kodi MVC Build (hdmkv has inserted it in the recommended hardware). I can transcode DTS to DD5.1 through rear TOSLINK jack?

Unless you are going to use the Intel Nuc Skull Canyon for gaming it's overkill for just Kodi use.

I agreed, watching 3D on a TV doesn't give you the same feel as watching 3D projector, I think you need 100'' and above to really enjoy 3D

I disagree, I watch 3d on a small 46"1080p tv and really enjoy it, and it looks really good.
The problem is I can't find a good 55" 3d 4k hdr TV to upgrade to.

Look into the Samsung 55 JS9000 that is what I am using for now.

Yes, I know that's overkill for just Kodi use, but I will use it also for gaming and in place of my desktop pc. I will play Bluray iso (1080p, 3D and no HD Audio) from network, I want to be sure, before buying it, that NUC6i7KYK will passtrought audio to TOSLINK out and will trascode DTS to DD 5.1 correctly with Kodi.

I Watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) Last night in 3D
This has fantastic 3D and lots of pop out especially near the end of the movie when they are sliding down the mountain.
Very surprised its not green coded must have movie. As I watched most of them on the list and this one was one of the most impressive.
Love the list of the 1st page of 3D movies been using it for long time as a goto guide for 3d film choices.
is the flip eye function on kodi the same as If I use the button on the SainSonic glasses where i press button and changes from left to right etc to make picture clear.?
When i compare the same movie on intel htpc to my himedia q5 i give intel A for picture and himedia is D :-)
Can't believed I watched movies like that on himedia for so long.

Tested Another 3D ISO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the shadows ( great 3d )
Watched all through several 3D movies now and true hd , dts hd all working bitstreaming 7,1
I would highly recommended someone on a budget looking for a 3d iso and mkv x264 player with bitstreaming the cubi 3205u
I bought for £75 at box.co.uk
Added a 256gb msata ssd and 8gig memory ( from my old pc )
Is a white one as much cheaper than the black one, I was worried it would be a problem in my cinema setup
but cant see it at all when lights out even though in small shelf under screen.
In The end I didnt have to install any drivers from MSI , Just Bios.
Or Intel as they were older than Win Update Intel Drivers.
All drivers installed by windows 10.
Only have problem with 1 file so far Captain America Winter Soldier 3d ISO, Works on himedia device
Going to try another windows 3d player to test it.
Nothing happens when clicking on it all other ISO work.

The Zidoo x9s needs alot more of tinkering than the q10 tho...
still havent gotten 7.1 sound to work on my new Zidoo, kinda miss my q10 pro
What settings are you using to get 7.1 hd audio to passthrough both in "kodi" and system settings ?
atm i get no sound from 7.1 hd audio passthrough.

Captain America Winter Soldier 3d iso just tried using powerdvd 16 and works in 3d no problems
When i first tried it through kodi it said it created a log file and didnt open it now when i try it just doesnt do anything. Have tried restarting and rescanning it in.
Any Ideas?

My Kodi Log
Hi Hope you can help my debug log is above.
I opened up another iso first what worked batman and then the non working through kodi Captain America Winter Soldier (2014) 3D.iso
Both ISO
I also upgraded to october build but same problem.
The error starts from line 1752
Also tried playing it by mounting it through windows and in kodi using optical disc nothing happens. This method works for other ISO movies I have.
But Powerdvd and Windvd detect it as Bluray DVD when mounted and playback without problem.
I was able to go into the file in kodi and open the two streams but they dont open in 3d using that method.
I have been through my whole collection of ISO 3D Bluray's and that is the only one not working on kodi must be something unsual with that file.
It does not matter that much just 1 movie.
Love using Kodi :-)

the libbluray can't properly open Captain America Winter Soldier (2014) 3D.iso I have no idea why but there is nothing to fix in Kodi.
