is this good news for this thread? will this enable playback of MVC 3D iso's/streams on Xbox? i have to imagine Microsoft will lock down some features/codecs to ensure this doesn't become a media pirate's paradise?

If Kodi come to Xbox One /S with support 3D MVC and Lossles Audio then i think we are getting close to the All IN ONE ULTIMATE ENTERTAINMENT UNIT:

i hope so! as long as they don't cripple Kodi. i was about to buy a Zidoo or Zappiti, but now i think i have to wait to see how this pans out.

But the Xbox One can play Blu-ray 3D, so Kodi can't use the internal processor to decode 3D?

my 3D ISOs are working fine on my Raspi3 - thanks for this!
But I have one question.
For me it looks like the MVC 3D stream is converted to a side-by-side video.
So the quality is not anymore like MVC because you loose half of the resolution.
Are I am right?
Is there any hardware where kodi supports native MVC playback without converting to side-by-side?
Like a 3D blueray player

@eriche, RPi supports full decode of MVC, not half-rez.
