My question now is about WeTek Play (or WeTek OpenElec version) versus Raspberry Pi 2 versus Odroid C1+.
Which one is better in terms of HD audio support using OpenElec?

This is the wrong thread for your question; please ask here or PM wrxtasy. He's your guy for this. For your choices above, I'd pick RPi2. It will decode HD audio (not bitstream) and send to your AVR as uncompressed multichannel.
This thread focuses on 3D players.

New HiMedia H8 Octa firmware out. This has same chip as Zidoo X6, and HiMedia may have just beat Zidoo to adding true 3D support in Kodi via internal player (no wrapper like their M3/Q5/Q10). Wish I had a H8 to test...

This one does not, but may not matter if PQ is good... anyway, I asked them for a review unit, so hoping I can get my hands on it.

Since Zidoo and Himedia are made in China/Shenzhen i suggest that the Zidoo should walk down the block and buy HiMedia H8,to an idea on how Frame-packing 3D works.

Too early to tell... let's see what users post about 3D in Kodi @ Futeko forum. Hopefully, 3D isn't rendered as HSBS like X6 is doing with its native player.

All of these good news since ZIDOO open the source.You know,Brings the principle
so the other RK3368 boxes's 3D playback is same of x6,It's also SBS now!
We are working on 3D framcepacking on X6,If there is no accidenta,we'll release a beta version within a week.
BTW:A lot of android boxes support 3D framepacking in native player,such as ZIDOO X9
