Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - oldpoem - 2016-01-11

When I make OSD appear (move mouse or M keyboard shortcut), video is laggy.
When OSD disappears, video is smooth again.
No dropped/repeated frames or presentation glitches in madVR stats.
Windows 10 FSE D3D11 10bit.
I didn't have this issue on Windows 7 FSE D3D9 8bit.

What's about Win10 FSE D3D9 8bit ?

I had been watching mostly TV shows and hadn't noticed it, even though this issue had been reported by another user. That 30 seconds won't likely cause anyone to abandon DSPlayer, but it is a flaw of the player. FYI, for those with OCD.

try
rendering -> general settings -> delay playback start until queue is full

Will it be possible to play MVC-3D in KODI DSPLAYER now that MadVR supports it?

· frame packed 3D playback via HDMI 1.4+ (Windows 8.1 or newer)

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - huhn - 2016-01-12

try it out. i'm pretty sure madshi likes to know too.

don't forget to read carefully what is needed to do this.

I think you need to use external versions of LAV Filters. Test copies were posted in the madVR thread.

Really? I didn't notice anything strange with MPC-HC. The problem seems to be at 23.976. I didn't test this refresh rate with MPC.

Turning on the OSD lowers the present queue. If your madVR settings are aggressive, this queue can go to 0 and cause presentation glitches. Try lowering your settings and see if this is still the case.

Would love to but I don't have the proper hardware for testing.
I got rid of my 3D Vision HTPC a while ago and went down the Android+KODI road.
Just curious if this is possible on Windows now with DSPLAYER build (It is possible now on the Pi/Pi2 only and some Android boxes).
If MVC-3D is possible on Windows/KODI I might consider going back to a Windows solution.

I wouldn't buy any new hardware for DSPlayer. Development and support for 3D playback doesn't exist.

just replace the lavfilter version and play a 3d mkv. it's not like kodi knows what is going on.

Is anyone using madvr with hd4400 Intel graphics and how high can you go? I have a hd6450 which I'm counting on replacing by nuc i3 hd4400

madVR stats are good.
That's the wierd part.. so I'm thinking the lag is "after" madVR, but i thought there was only the graphic card after it in the chain..

Also, since i moved from Windows Seven to Windows 10, I have around 2 BOSD a day (i only use the PC the evening so it's a big ratio).
I have a NVIDIA GTX680, with latest WHQL drivers (361.43)
Windows updates done.
No weird stuff, only the pulse-Eight CEC USB adaptator.
BSOD are occuring when watching a video, never when the PC is idle.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - gotham_x - 2016-01-12

@Warner306, Small request, if you think necessary for driving DSPlayer, it would be possible to quote an update to the guide regarding the parameter (Stereo 3D) madVR, I read a bit 'on the official forum Doom9', in my opinion reigns a bit 'too much confusion among users interested in this procedure.
Just an idea for a parameter that arouses I think much interest.

Windows 10 + NVidia Card Huh LOOOOL ... The worst HTPC Cocktail I would have prepared ...

I stayed with W7 Ultimate and an AMD/ATI Card and everything is working great, except my brain which is working very slowly after all that XMas/NYear's stuff .. Sad(((

Good Luck with your BSODs ...
