RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2016-07-04 ... RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - toki5 - 2016-07-05 (2016-07-04, 00:18)Warner306 Wrote:(2016-07-03, 22:12)toki5 Wrote: Hello everyone. First off I want to say that I really love how this is set up to use mpc-hc as the primary player. With that said I am having problems with audio. I am on 2.1 setup and I am having problems with audio across the board. I am unsure how to set it up so that audio will play with the same sound levels with 2, 5.1, 7.1 etc. Some audio is very muffled while others play what sounds correctly to me. Also I am getting syncing issues at times it seems. I would appreciate if any one could help me with this problem. I'm sorry. I basically thought it was mpc-hc. Thank you for the reply and thank you for this player, it is a very nice alternative to the original player. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - tetrahc - 2016-07-05 Sorry to ask this if it has been answered but I have spent many hours searching out and trying to change every setting I can that may be causing these issue to no avail. My first issue is that Kodi DSPlayer crashes almost immediately after starting a 2160p HEVC file. These were movies which would play in standard Kodi (not ds) but not smoothly. So I was hoping to us madvr to help me out with that. A message pops up that Kodi has crashed a few frames into video. My second issue is directly related to MadVR. I am unable to us nnedi3 (or nedi) in Kodi DSplayer. They work great in MPC but I get an error/crash pop up for madvr when starting a movie with nnedi3, or changing to nnedi3. Depending on what I click it will either close after this, or revert to Jinc. This occures for all files formats and codecs, not just HEVC like the first issue. My system is I5 6600k 16GB Ram R9 390 so I feel like it is not related to my system not being able to handle nnedi3, especially since it works in MPC. Thanks for the help. For the first issue, try to enable display mode switching in madVR. Turn off Adjust display refresh rate in Kodi. Enter all of the modes for your display in madVR under display modes (2160p23, 2160p24, 2160p25, 2160p50, 2160p59, 2160p60). If use miss a display mode, the player may crash. For NNEDI3, I don't know what could be wrong. super-xbr is almost as good as an alternative. I just want to be sure that the right tool exists to do what we would need to do. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - MagikMark - 2016-07-10 Do we need to turn on kodi vsync if madvr is already using it its own vsync? If nobody steps up to the plate and delivers a working Kodi 17 DSPlayer no one spends a dime, if I remember correctly.(2016-07-03, 12:10)ashlar Wrote: I wonder if we could/should try to start a ransom model to attract a Windows developer to move this to Kodi 17. I am referring to crowdsourcing a certain amount of money that gets unlocked once a developer steps up and moves DSPlayer to Kodi 17. Just a thought... RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - gotham_x - 2016-07-11 If you return to your hand the project will mean that after six years you will be amply rewarded by ashlar, why so much hatred after six years? RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - robl45 - 2016-07-11 Honestly and this is just my personal opinion, I tried this and its pretty cool, but its essentially the same as using Kodi with MPC-HC as external player. All thats really needed is a to be able to have Kodi remotes also control MPC-HC which for me was the primary reason for trying this. I got it working although I could not get reclock to work in exclusive mode which works fine when using MPC-HC externally. Another is, ppl do not want to lose Kodi (and its pretty GUI) while being able to use directshow filters.
